An Introductory Posting

I'd actually registered for the forums last year but never got around to making a post here until the SDCC exclusives release this week. Followed the action over at TFW2005 in read-only mode, when in hindsight I probably should have come over here because it was only the pony toy that I sought. Couldn't really register over there anyway as they ask some "What is your favorite G1 Transformers character and why?" questions in the registration process and I probably couldn't even fake an answer to that. Oops.

Anyway, I usually go by SabreMau online. Most of the time I post ponies over on the Penny Arcade forums, where I started up their series of MLP threads some time ago. Mostly got into the show at the launch of FiM, but I'm old enough to have nostalgia for the classics. I haven't done that much in the way of collecting ever since my sisters and I had a big box of G1s back in the mid-80s, though I did manage to find one of them hiding in a corner not too long ago. Arranged that and my newly-arrived SDCC figure next to the scooter-helmet Twilight Sparkle, and left out the Happy Meal sets as those wouldn't all fit in the picture:
