Even though my birthday party was postponed, I saw my father on Sunday! From a suitable distance, he handed me a gift and said birthday wishes. That made me happy, because we meet very rarely.

There is an upcoming rockparty with bands playing in my city mid october and it happens to be on my offday. I asked my younger brother if he wanted to go and he said yes. I've not listen to the bands myself but I know my brother is a fan of two of them and even have t-shirts. He often ends up going on these things alone as he like me has few friends and fewer with the same taste in music and I usually work when they happen. Now he get to have company and I can get more bands on my seen-life list. Three of the bands are Sonata Artica, Stratovarious and Soilwork. I'm a fan of the Dark Element (a colaboration with former Ex sonata Jani Liimatainen and Ex Nightwish Anette Olzon) so I think it will be good. I just have to dig into them on spotify. I got so happy when he texted me and said he had bought tickets, just an hour after I asked and started to plan how to get here and if he could sleep here etc. Makes me realise he looks forward to it . I'm so glad I asked.

We are FINALLY getting the HVAC system put in our new library building today.  It was supposed to be delivered in April.  So if all goes well, we will get to start the moving process!

edit: I've racked up 12 dollars from Amazon for picking Amazon Day delivery. I'm gonna rent some movies I've wanted to see. First up is Talk to Me.

I made more money selling some stuff on ebay. Maybe this was a stupid thing, but I had enough to get something expensive for myself. It's a totally frivolous thing but I really wanted it. I've got it already and love it and it makes me very happy

this morning it was actually cool enough for us to open the windows. our house really holds in the heat which is good when it's very cold outside but not always great when it's warmer. so i like to open the windows and let the house get cold until it gets to around 70F outside.

As much as I complain about Christmas being put in shops too early (I've worked retail since I was a teen, can you blame me?!), I LOVE that Malteaser reindeers are back!! That's me happy from now until Easter, as the reindeers go after Christmas BUT then the bunny ones come in!!

On Sunday, mine and my nephew's birthdays were celebrated! It was fun and I got wonderful gifts (!ponies!).
