Check out Caudata.org. It's a great newt and salamander forum with an awesome axolotl area. There are sales boards too. :)
When/if these eggs hatch I will probably post them for sale there :)

Lol - what a great story  :)  And how exciting to have little babies on the way - I hope you'll keep us updated with lots of piccies!!

Not quite the same thing, but when I was a kid, I had a mouse who rather quickly got rather fat and then sprung 8 babies on me. She was obviously pregnant when I bought her, but I lost count of how many times I checked my other mouse freaking out that I had bought a boy and a girl lol!  Surprises, whilst they can be moderately stressful, can be a lot of fun  ;)

Ahhh! I saw some axolotls in a shop in china and nearly bought them. They were so cute! They look so cute in pictures but they're even CUTER in person! Congrats on the eggies haha.

Uh, can I ask (afraid to), what happened with that other axolotl you rescued?  Did she make it?  The one that you gave to some woman (your boyfriend's mom, I think), thinking that she would give it a good home, and then she neglected the poor thing?  I hope you were able to nurse her back to health.

She passed on :/ There were no vets I could take her to in the area and advice from people online can only help so much... I was pretty shook up by the whole thing.

Also, I added photos of the eggs to the OP. :)

Anywhere from 12-21 days, depending on how warm you keep the water. These ones seem to be developing pretty quickly so I think they should be hatching at about 13 days. :)

Oh my gosh, axolotls! I love axolotls! They're definitely one of my favourite animals. Oooooh I can't wait to see the babies! :D

When I was at high school I did a talk about axolotls in front of my English class. It apparently went down very well and everyone from that class remembers it after quite a few years, hehe. I hope I can keep some axolotls of my own one day.
