Off Topic / Re: My Music Collection

Don't mind me being totally off topic but love that Delorean time machine photobombing in the corner!

Impressive collection of CDs too, happen to have a total of how many you have?

That DeLorean is actually part of a much larger collection of BTTF stuff I still have scattered about. I have the Diamond Select Electronic DeLorean with Marty and Doc ReAction figures inside, and I have a pretty large collection of the BTTF MiniMates that have been released over the years. I am not sure on the exact number of CDs I have, I will have to figure that out soon!

Very nice collection! I really should buy more CDs so I can own more albums instead of just going to Spotify when I feel like listening to many artists I like (I don't like buying digital because I like being able to physically hold the things I own, even though I always rip my CDs and stick them on my phone lol), though I need more space for them first. Don't have the room for too much more at the moment. The ultimate goal would be to have all the albums by all artists I listen to.

What's the basic rundown of artists included in your collection?

My collection is mainly based around collecting the work of my favorite artists, with select albums I just enjoyed in general over the years. I listen to a wide variety of music genres, so some of what I have may be considered to be essential classics to some, while the same people might think other stuff I have is cringe worthy, lol.

There would be alot to list, but among the artists I have the largest parts of my collection devoted to are:

Fleetwood Mac [Pretty much my favorite all-time band, I have everything from the Buckingham Nicks era]
Stevie Nicks [Same as above, pretty much all of her solo work]
Prince [Everything under Warner Bros. from before he changed his name to a symbol, as well as his final 4 Studio albums]
Madonna [All studio albums, Film Soundtracks, and Live albums]
Britney Spears [Mostly everything]
Michael Jackson [Jackson 5- Select compilations. Jacksons- All albums except their last one without Michael. Solo- Everything and then some.]
Lady Gaga [Everything]
No Doubt/ Gwen Stefani [Everything]
Sia [Most everything except first 2 OOP albums]
Taylor Swift [Everything]
Katy Perry [All studio albums]
Demi Lovato [Everything]
Selena Gomez [Most albums]
Rihanna [Most Albums[
The Weeknd [All major label albums]
Bruno Mars [Everything]
Beyonce [All solo albums]
Adele [19, 21, 25]
Justin Bieber [Most Everything, lol]
Fall Out Boy [Most Everything]
Linkin Park [Everything except first 2 live albums, Used to have the Hybrid Theory EP, which is a very rare CD from before they were known.]
Kid Rock [All major label releases from Devil Without a Cause onwards]
Marilyn Manson [Everything]
Nine Inch Nails [Most major album and EP releases except The Slip]
Guns N Roses [Everything except The Spaghetti Incident]
Def Leppard [A decent selection of my favorite albums of theirs]
Green Day [All major label releases from Dookie to American Idiot]
Eminem [All major label releases]
Kendrick Lamar [All major label releases]
The Beatles [The "Big Ones" - Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, White Album, Abbey Road, Let It Be, and 1]
Elvis Presley [Several compilations of various themes, as well as a few box sets]

Those are most of the highlights, but I also have a lot of stuff from most of the bigger female pop superstars of the last 10 years or so, and a reasonably extensive Rap collection. also some cool box sets such as Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

This is the majority of my music collection except for my vinyl LPs which are out in the living room. I've just been taking pictures of some of my stuff as I've been setting up my room.

I finally got him! My pull string Beetlejuice came in the mail. He sounds a little chipmunk-y, but from what I understand most vintage pull string dolls of this variety sound like this. The fact that he still works at all is cool enough for me! I also got another little Funko figure since the last pic.

G2 is actually my favorite generation! The bulk of my collection is G4 as that was what got me into Ponies in general and happens to be the current gen, but I've always had an appreciation for past gens and G2 has always been my particular favorite. There is just something about them that I love.

I just won an item on ebay this morning I've been wanting for awhile. The talking pull string Beetlejuice doll from Kenner. Got him for $31 and he still talks and head spins. Been looking for one for a decent price that still works correctly.

Beetlejuice has always been one of my favorite childhood movies, and last summer I found one of my childhood figures in my Dad's attic which had yellowed pretty badly, but it sparked my interest and soon after I ended up scoring some really good deals on some vintage Beetlejuice items from ebay, and then it started to turn into a full blown collection.

The figures on the very top shelf are all Terminator figures from NECA, McFarlane, and Funko.

I'm still unpacking my Pony stuff from when I moved so I don't have anything set up yet. I'm more limited on space than I was before so I may not be able to put everything out like I had it before.

Pony Corral / I finally got my Capper!
« on: January 12, 2018, 05:59:02 PM »
My roommate picked up the Capper Dapperpaws set for me today while he was at Target, and also picked up some Songbird Serenade stuff for himself. He is not a Die Hard collector of MLP but does like FiM and has a hand full of brushable Ponies, and pretty much anything to do with Songbird Serenade as he is a huge fan of Sia.

Dapper was my favorite character from the Movie so I have been wanting him since he came out. He is so awesome! I haven't really picked up much from the Movie but I do have the Tempest with the missile firing glider thingie and a Songbird Serenade toy.

I don't know how it is in every area, but around here anyway it seems as though no one is stocking the Blu-ray at all besides Target and Walmart. I went to Best Buy and f.y.e. to find DVDs only. I had to go to Walmart anyway and ended up finding the set with the water bottle there.

The last time I moved again a few months ago, as I was packing my Pony stuff away I realized my Fluttershy train car was missing one of the little ice creams that goes into the 4 slots inside of it. I looked everywhere on the shelf it was on, looked to see if it fell into some other pony stuff that was around it and tore my whole bed apart trying to find it, and then I realized that shortly after I first moved into that house and unpacked my stuff, I had found a random toy accessory which at that time I couldn't have identified if my life depended on it. I had no idea what toy it went to or if it even belonged to anything I owned at all. for all I knew it was something a kid randomly dropped at work and I had picked it up and put it in my scrub pocket, but thankfully I had the presence of mind to throw it into one of the boxes I keep Pony accessories in on the chance that I ever figured out what it was, and sure enough when I looked in that box there was a little ice cream cone that I was able to identify online as the one that was missing from the train car.

Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else?

My stickers never seemed to stay on all the way. they are all still in place but I have to press them back down every once in awhile.

Introductions / Hello again everyone
« on: December 25, 2016, 07:14:44 PM »
Well, This has been a hell of a year for me, and not necessarily in a good way. A lot has happened in my life good and bad over the last several months, but a lot of it has been extremely crappy and I pray that this upcoming new year will be a better one.

I haven't been on here in so long that I wasn't sure if I should reintroduce myself or not, but anyway here I am. I'm back, but may only post sporadically depending on how things continue to go. I haven't really followed MLP too much with everything going on, but I still have all of my collection and am excited for the upcoming movie. I love this forum and don't think I could ever leave it forever.

So basically to keep it as short as I can, Last Christmas while we were on vacation as a Family, a random Woman had called my Dad during the night which sparked a huge argument between my Mom and my Dad who have been married for 30 years, and since then their relationship has gone into a downward spiral and they are now in the midst of getting a divorce. My dad has apparently been living a secret double life of constant drug use and drinking, strip clubs and going to bars every other night, and has been having various relations with a multitude of different Women. Shortly after my Mom confirmed they were having problems, My brother, My Grandfather and I moved from their house and got a house to rent. After less than a week of having lived in our house, my Grandfather who I've been living with for the past 8 years and was closer to than anyone else, passed away in his sleep. Now my brother and I, along with a friend of mine from work, are living in the house and splitting the rent 3 ways. This year has been an extremely, stressful, painful, and Drama filled one for me, and couldn't be more glad that it is about to end. 2017 will hopefully be the start of a new beginning.

Pony Corral / Moving...What is the best way to pack away my collection?
« on: February 19, 2016, 04:47:30 AM »
Getting ready to move but I won't be able to actually move into the house for another 2 weeks for various reasons so in the mea. Time im just trying to get as much packed as possible. My Pony stuff shouldn't stay boxed for long but I just want to make sure I don't mess anything up while I have them packed for the time being. We might also have to put some stuff in storage for a time but I'm making it a point to bring my Pony stuff with me as soon as I can get in.
