Ring, ring, ring! Phone call, phone call!

We have a trac fone for when we go somewhere and if there was an emergency, but it stays in my purse 99% of the time and it stays off unless we need it.  We are old fashioned, LOL, and have a landline.

I have to be able to receive calls at all times as I am on the emergency contact list for my lab so I do have it next to me at night.  I also listen to podcasts on it which helps me get to sleep.

I use mine as my alarm clock so it is nearby when I sleep. I do have the ability to completely sleep through any calls or alerts I receive during "sleep time" though.

I keep mine nearby as my alarm clock but when I work days I keep it on "alarm only" overnight or I will get texts and never get sleep. I have a plain old flip phone too. I wanted it. I don't have to worry about the screen busting if I drop it or pocket dialing. Its a few years old and hasn't had any problems, unlike all the people I know with $500 fancy phones. I do use that tiny internet on my phone everyday. If it weren't for checking craigslist on my little phone I would have missed out on getting my dog, Eleanor. I've even posted on the arena from my cheapy little flip phone. I hate talking on the phone though, I wish everybody would text.

I recently purchased an older model (circa 2009) flip phone that I'd owned before when I was younger. I absolutely love it. I use it as an alarm (perfect, because it won't startle me, and I can set up custom snooze intervals) most mornings, but I also keep it under my pillow because you never know when someone might be in an emergency and need your help. I don't get people texting me at night for social reasons because I don't have any friends

I use my phone as an alarm; it wouldn't do any good if it was too far away to hear! And I am amused to find that the title of this is the Pokemon video phone ring, which is also my cell phone ringtone!!!

My blackberry's basically an email device that can do phonecalls. I keep it by my bed on silent so I can check it when I wake up.

It's also my clock, my alarm clock, and my 'I need to remember this fact right now' google search. I'm never apart from it, if I can help it.

I sleep with my cell phone next to me.  I use my cell phone as an alarm clock, but I have a regular alarm clock too.  I use both!!  I had one or the other fail to go off in the past, so now I set both!  My phone ringer is on the lowest volume/vibrate, but my alarm is set for the loudest!  LOL. I can go back to sleep or ignore it most of the time if I get woken up by a text/call, but people don't normally call me past 9 pm.

I do own a cell phone, but it's relatively old in cell phone terms. It's one of those flip-to-open numbers. You can get on the internet with it, but it is not unlike getting on the internet back in those slow modem days. Such a teeny display too! No built in keyboard, you have to text by using the number pad. A rather slow thing to do.

You just described my cell phone too, Stomper.  I often forget my phone and leave it at work/home. Sometimes it might be on the nightstand while I sleep, others I really have no idea where it is, lol.
