Lucky Buy...

I found an incredible antique store in Ventura, CA that was crammed full of toys and memorabilia from the past few decades. There were Ghostbusters action figures, Rainbow Brite dolls and unboxed Barbies everywhere, and I just knew I was bound to run into at least one pony in this place.

Sure enough, I did. There was a glass display case with several baby ponies inside it, including Baby Cotton Candy and two different Baby Cuddles -- Drink 'n' Wet Baby Cuddles and Beddy-Bye Eyes Baby Cuddles. I ended up buying Baby Countdown and Baby Doodles (Noodles was nowhere in sight) for just $4 each. (The strings are from the price tags they used to be wearing)

This store was also the first place I've ever seen a G2 pony in person -- two of them, in fact. I was looking at the display case I mentioned earlier and wondering if there might be any G2s elsewhere (there were G1s, G3s, G4s and one lone G3.5), and when I turned around, I saw these two sitting on a shelf right in front of me:

I know the antique store you speak of and yes they had a bunch of good stuff there too when i was there back in 2009 but a lot more over priced. great buys you got there!

I think the one on the right is Moon Shadow. At first I thought the one on the left was Light Heart, but it turns out that it's Dainty Dove (a European exclusive).

I guess I should have guessed that a place like this would be on a lot of people's radar! The funny thing is that I visited several thrift stores in Ventura a couple of months ago, and for some reason, this store was one of the few that I passed up because I thought it wouldn't have anything that I would be interested in.

That sounds like a really cool store you found! I'd love to have something like that in my area. It's nice to see they don't over-price their stock.  You got a couple of good buys.  Congrats on your new additions
