Is it time to throw in the towel?

Okay, maybe this is more of a rant than anything, but I consider myself a *somewhat* patient person, but I'm tired of feeling like everyone has all the new ponies but me! I knew I'd have to search a bit for the TRU set ponies as I only wanted a few from the set, but what about the brushables being sold everywhere, like Lyra and Sunny Rays? It honestly feels like everywhere else has them but my area (and I've searched neighboring towns and cities as well whenever I travel), practically all our pony merchandise has been wiped out-apparently our Wal-Marts don't even sell MLP at ALL anymore. Should I just give up the hopes in finding them in stores and resort to online buying? I would have really liked to purchase them in person, but it seriously feels like ages. Blah.

My local TRU only has the main 6 with the luggage or...whatever that set was. They had new blind bags but I didn't get to them in time, they sold out fast.

I'm still not going to buy stuff online though, but I'm completely aloof when it comes to G4 stuff. If I miss it, oh well! Now if Hasbro releases an anniversary set or something I'll definitely buy it online.

The UK is more lame I've only just found talking Cadence, there's no ponies anywhere else and if there is its those luggage ponies.

I'm hoping to boost my G4s at Ponycon in October because I've only found ONE regular brushable sized pony that isn't the Mane 6. Grrrr.. Got Cheerilee and Star Dreams as sets and two out of three of the CMC but I want some of the others like Trixie, Lyra, Diamond Rose, Dewdrop Dazzle etc. And I want Nightmare Moon!! :allmycries:

I feel your pain, InkyMilk.  My country always takes AGES to get the latest release ponies.  There was a Bratz vampire boy doll released in the US that I really wanted and he never even came to New Zealand at all.  *pouts*

I feel you! There is only Pinkie Pies at my stores and it's getting frustrating! I am going out shopping tomorrow I will shop 5 stores and if they are not there, I will be buying online!

I'm still waiting for them to show up in Sweden. We've got some of the new stuff but far from everything. And don't let me get started on the Target and TRU exclusives which rarely are beeing sold here. Has happend once to my knowledge O.o

So I know the feeling I usually try and be patient with the things I suspect will show up, but when it comes to the exclusives and whatnot that I know for a fact won't be sold here I just buy it from nice folks in the pony community. Don't see the point in torturing myself by waiting in vain

Yup - distribution is woeful but unfortunately this is pretty standard for this toy line and these retailers. G3 was just as bad if not worse a lot of the time. I feel your pain - as Party says the UK mainstream stores here are atrocious.

The only consolation I can offer is that we are only a month into the 2012/2013 toy line - this line has to carry for the next 9 months and as it looks unlikely new product is coming out therefore we should see a lot of repeats of the same waves. And I hope this means people can finally get the ponies they are looking for.

I hope you manage to track down the ponies you are looking for!

...bad thing is, I'm not supposed to be buying ponies until ponycon....but eh, she jumped in my bag anyway

Don't quit now!  Stores are probably getting rid of their old stock right now, so that they can reset before the Christmas rush/holiday season.  I think it will get better soon!

There are plenty of lovely pony pals waiting to help here on the forums. Most are really great to work with and will sell new items pretty close to cost.
