Hi all. I am 36 and from South Africa. I was registering on the MH Arena when I saw the link to the MLP arena. Since I still have my ponies from my young days and would love to collect some more - but of the same time range, which is late 80's early 90's (not to fond of the new version ponies) - I thought it be a good idea to gallop over to the MLP arena. I am not to clued up on the real names of my ponies, I only remember that I preferred playing with them than my barbie doll and that I never allowed my friends to play with my ponies.

South Africa had all kinds of interesting ponies. I can't lie, I'm crossing my fingers here hoping you have some in your collection. There's some good databases out there to check out the ponies you have, places like StrawberryReef for example or you can ask here. Enjoy the forums!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I will definitely be posting a photo of my ponies just to get some certainty of their real names and what you call the G1 versions? I really don't have alot of ponies but I am extremely sentimental about them all.

How exciting that you might have some extra special ponies in your childhood herd.  The G1 ponies are the ones that were released in the 80s   If you have any that you might want to part with you would be best to ask for a price check in the Nirvana forum so you get what they are worth.

Hi and welcome! As someone else said, http://www.strawberryreef.com/ is a really good resource for a new pony collector! There are a lot of other great websites out there, too.
