When do you tell people what ponies you want for Christmas?

My wife is the one buying ponies for me, no-one else is any point in wishing from. But I have two boards on Pinterest, MLPs in my Collection, and MLPs I want. That way both I and her can keep track of my wishlist.

Usually the second week of November I start telling folks and also start shopping.. I only have participated in Cyber Monday twice, never been into last-minute shopping though.

The rule in our family is that there are no Christmas lists in circulation until sister's birthday has passed and that is Thursday, so I have done nothing about it yet. But ponies don't go on it, because I collect G1, and the G1 I want/need would either be too tricky for my family to locate or give them a shock in terms of prices.

I did train them to buy stuff for me from Japan last year for the first time. It was just a music CD BUT IT WAS PROGRESS. They had refused to even try before that but I introduced them to a site that works in English and that made them happier. And me, too.

Christmas lists are very hard to write though, honestly. I don't really know what I want for Christmas, nor have I thought about whether I'm buying myself something or not. I always try and make some charity donations at Christmas, though, and I have already sent the card and gift to my sponsored child in Cambodia

I don't make a list or anything , usually in my bf's case he will either surprise me with a pony or ask if he isn't sure I have it, he has a pretty good idea of which ones I have already. If I get ponies from anyone else it's always a very pleasant surprise! ^_^
