I bought some weird prototypes/test shots from a Chinese seller that works with one of the factories that makes Hasbro ponies. He often has some neat stuff, and just as often has weird spare parts that truly are not interesting at all
I thought these were neat so I nabbed them.
He still has the same clear yellow unicorn (without hair) on ebay right now- along with some headless bodies that he obviously wants way too much for...you can search under "my little pony prototype"
The Pinkie definitely looks like a test shot of some sort. She has four rows for bangs, and four rows for her mane- and you can kind of see where they drew the lines to indicate where the pony should be haired. The hair is super kinky- it is not, as I had originally thought, the soft "styling strands" type hair- but just regular ole nylon.

She is brushable size, and also has lines drawn to show where she should have hair- but the head while in the same SHAPE as the larger unicorn figures- is way smaller. I looked through every single unicorn mold and it doesn't match any of them. (Smaller than even the snow-globe ponies) I do wonder if it means something like this will be around the corner? Maybe she is supposed to be Princess Gold Lily? (although she has no wings and her head is smaller than the existing mold for that pony)
