I really hope we'll be able to pull the money together to go. It was so much fun last year. And I was so stoaked on the idea of doing a soda tasting.

I hope you do as well! It was so great getting to meet and chat with you last year :)

You should definitely come!! We love having new people join us! :D we've had a couple people from Tennessee join us!

Hello all my lovely fellow pony enthusiasts! I am proud to announce the SEVENTH year of the Southeast Pony Meet! I can't believe it's already been so long since I started this meet in 2011. Last year was a bit different, but we are returning to the normal clubhouse this year- it was by far the biggest the meet has ever been last year with almost 40 people! I hope to see new people as well as good friends! This meet is for all pony lovers and collectors alike  There is no discrimination of generations.

DATE
June 24th at 10 AM
Doors open to those with tables at 9 AM

WHERE
The meet will be located in the same clubhouse it has taken place in every year, with the exception of last year!

Flowers Crossing at the Mill Clubhouse
1210 Providence Drive
Lawrenceville, GA 30044

The clubhouse is located near lots of shopping and eating! Including a strip mall and tons of central shopping hubs, primarily off of Scenic Highway.

Extra, Extra!
If anyone has any floor fans they could bring along, that would be majorly helpful! The reason I try to avoid summer months for the meet is because it can get pretty warm in the clubhouse. I think some additional fans scattered around could help a lot with this!

HOW IT WORKS
While this meet began with me paying for the clubhouse out of pocket, I decided to host raffles instead to raise money. This means there is no entry or table fee! All I ask is that if you can spare anything, to donate some kind of prize for the raffles to help raise money for next year

I am taking RSVP's now and please, I BEG, if you RSVP please be certain that you can go, especially if you reserve any tables! I have had people RSVP in the past, and then don't show up without a word or let me know the day of that they cannot come. I understand things happen, but if it can be avoided please let me know in advance! :)  Walk ins are more than welcome as well, but I cannot guarantee we will be able to get food for you. However, there are plenty of fast food places and other restaurants around if we can't!

DONATIONS/RAFFLES
Every year donations are given through the purchase of extra raffle tickets for all the goodies attendees brought! All of these proceeds go to the next year's pony meet so I can buy fun stuff like game prizes, raffle prizes, and, most importantly, it pays for the venue! If anyone could bring any kind of raffle prizes that would be amazing! Let me know if you would like to donate one  We will have a big table set out for raffle prizes and I will start a list of prizes to be donated for the raffle. LUNCH
I have decided to order pizza for food this year. We sadly cannot cater to all food allergies, so be sure to bring some things you can eat just in case we don't have anything :) We have quite a large variety of food sensitivities in our small group so finding food that everyone can eat is quite the challenge :silly:

If you want to eat pizza with us for lunch, please plan to bring $5(for each person if you will have guests with you) to help pay for it. Additionally, please let me know in advance when you RSVP if you will be eating with us. Thanks!

CHILDREN
I realize the subject of children is a touchy one as some people are comfortable having them around while others are not. If you need/want to bring a child along please make sure you let me know when you RSVP and let everyone else know by posting here or on Facebook. If we do have kids along I can assure you I will think of some fun things to keep them entertained, but please make sure they are watched at all times to respect others' wishes. I know a lot of people don't want kids running around and getting into things they shouldn't, especially if it's their collections and things they hold near and dear. Thank you so much in advance for your understanding!

FACEBOOK
The SEPM has its own group and please feel free to join it! There are lots of pictures from the past years so you can get a feel for what it is like and lots of updates and chit chat!

And here is a link directly to the pictures so you can check out past years!

And that about concludes the thread for now! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to let me know! I will add more/make changes to this post and I will let you all know of any updates!  I look forward to hearing from all of you and I can't wait!

I have some of this spray and it smells amazing! My favorite thing to do is give a couple spritz of it in my collection room when I am visiting for utmost nostalgia :) I highly recommend! :lovey:

And this is so late, but thank you SO much to all of you for such an amazing pony meet! I was so nervous since this year was much bigger, but everything went great! And not to mention, this is the first year where food actually worked out well without any problems! Haha In fact, I have never seen so much food in my life! :silly:

I am already so excited for next year, which should return to our normal location at the clubhouse. And speaking of next year, how you would you guys like to have a PAJAMA pony meet?! Haha

Pictures have been posted on the FB group and I am just way too lazy to upload onto a photo host. I apologize for that! D: But any feedback from this year would be greatly appreciated, all the good and tips for possible improvement. I always want to try and make it even better :)

TOMORROW!!! :frolic: :frolic:

There is plenty of parking out front for everyone, free :) No parking spot craziness this year! Since it is in Atlanta though, please be extra careful to lock your cars!

ALSO!
Last minute update to dinner. I have had many food cancellations, so I have decided to do pizza again like I did last year to make things easier on myself. I will just collect the money from who would like to order, and will have it delivered. It will still be $5 :)

Would it be okay if I used some of the scratch paper for the mascot contest voting? :) Thank you for bringing all of that I really, really appreciate it

I totally went to World Market yesterday, and bought way too much unicorn decorations. :silly: I am so excited! Trying to get all of my ducks in a row here to make sure I have everything. I do at least have all my ponies priced and ready to go!

Ahhhhhh it's next weekend!!!
Is everyone ready?! I am in stock and I think a bit of denial. lol I will be getting everything together this weekend to set up the show room next Friday. I am so excited!

I wanted to post one last reminder that Sunday is the cut off day for RSVP's and custom badge requests. I don't want Fox getting any super last minute badge requests! In addition to this, if you cannot make it and you have RSVP'd please let me know so I can make sure I have an accurate headcount for dinner. It would be greatly appreciated!

I will be sending out an email with all of the details Sunday night so you guys have something to reference to make your planning easier.

The pages are amazing, ringwraith! You are the best for doing that! :frolic:

About a week out from the RSVP cut off date, folks! I also had a couple of tables come available if anyone decides they need the space :)

I can't believe it's getting so close!

I'm getting  excited, :yippee: :yippee:  3 more weeks to go .

I know! It's so close! :D

The meet is less than a month away! Where did the time go?! I hope everyone is just as excited as I am this year!

When time gets closer, I will be sending an email out to everyone with final details and to confirm attendance for who has RSVP'd. If it turns out you cannot make it, please let me know as soon as possible :) Since I will be ordering food beforehand, it is crucial that I have an accurate final headcount. Additionally, I would like to add a reminder that the RSVP cut off is September 17th.

Since the meet is so much larger this year than it ever has been, it is going to be very different. It is normally a much smaller, chill environment where everyone walks around freely and does not have to worry about their things. But I want to suggest that everyone makes sure their tables are watched at all times if possible, whether you ask your neighbor to watch it while you go somewhere or if you bring a helper along. I will also have pamphlets to hand out to everyone upon arrival as well as a sign in sheet where I will also be collecting payment for lunch. Everyone will be escorted to their tables to avoid any confusion.

Lets make this the best year yet! :frolic:

Retrogradnova, those teasers are wonderful!! I love the customs! :lovey:

Tealight, we would love to have you!  if you know you can make it, you can send me an RSVP via email with the form I have in the original post. All of the information can be found there. The only sad part is we are out of tables, however you are more than welcome to bring a tote or something to carry if you would like to buy/sell/trade. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions! If you have a Facebook, feel free to join the group there is well. It's full of great pictures from past years! :)
