I like manga but not comics.
Quote from: kaoskat on December 05, 2013, 04:28:41 AMI like manga but not comics. They're the same thing, actually! Just one is Japan, and one is North America. In various parts of Europe they're called bande dessinée. (Asterix, Tintin, etc) The only thing that really separates them from some Western comics is region, because they vary as much as ours do and are sometimes identical in their own way.
I like manga -- and I definitely prefer it over anime -- but I'm not a fan of American comics.
The oldest Japanese manga that I've read would be from the '70's, Sukeban Deka (soooooooo awesome, I have the 1st run of the original set, still mint, despite being read over and over by me)
I'm 36 and I'm still reading comics
...Currently, I'm reading: Demon Love Spell and Happy Marriage?!

It is starting to be released now so I'm going to buy it as it comes out. I'd suggest Butterflies, Flowers if you liked Happy Marriage it has similar story and humor.Red River is my favorite manga but I've read a lot of different kinds. I'm a sucker for romance stories but I also like good horror and fantasy.
