What toy is this?
« on: December 06, 2013, 07:01:13 PM »
Okay toy experts I need your help identifying a doll/ playlet. I don't have her anymore but I do think that I have a fairly accurate memory of what she looked like.

These dolls that I am thinking of were approximately the size of a Barbie Kelly doll and came with an oversized plastic skirt that the doll fit into so that it looked like she was wearing a giant ball gown. When you removed the doll her "skirt" folded out in to a play set. These toys probably came out in the late 90's or early 2000's.

She was made of plastic had dark brown hair (I want to say that she was African American) and her body was a molded leotard colored light purple and hot pink, she had a pink fabric skirt that matched and molded light purple flats. Her play set was like all the others a ball gown shape in purple and pink with yellow accents (not 100% sure about the yellow). It folded out into a vanity and a white and pink checkered floor. There were drawers and compartments to store her accessories too. There were a couple small accessories but the only one I can remember as of the moment was a little mind green heart shaped bottle.

My best friend had two other dolls like this but hers were different colors, one mint green and the other light purple. I believe that these dolls came in a range so I know that there are more like the set that I had.

These look like A LOT of fun!

I would have loved them if they had been around when I was a kid.  I was graduating high school when these were in stores :lookround:

I currently have the princess party one that I got at a thrift store. Not something I collect, it was in with a bunch of Polly Pockets.
