I have one G1 BBE Gusty that is hard pretty much and one that I need to finish rehairing for a friend that is soft... I notice that many BBE ponies end up with their plastic hard over time
My BBE Lofty could kill someone if I chucked her at them

I just saw a new ebay listing go up that had several obviously-very-played with condition ponies (Seashell, Firefly, Gusty, some McD ponies), none of them variants, and the person who has them is asking that bidding start at $1,000. Or, for the super desperate, you can buy them now for $1,100!  So what other kinds of ridiculously crazy prices have you guys seen for ponies on eBay?

I think when they say "older generations as blind bags" they probably mean G3s. That one pink unicorn might conceivably be based off G2 Twinkle Star, but I don't think we've seen ANYTHING else related to older generations, other than G3, have we? (Besides Applejack, obviously, but that was Lauren Faust's idea, not Hasbro's.)
I really think the designers just aren't bothering to go back that far in their archives or whatever, which is a shame because G1 and G2 had the best color schemes IMO.
I don't think Hasbro can use the ponies from G2 and G1, at least not G1 as far as I'm aware. The patent they had on them expired, didn't it? The only G1s they were able to rescue were Applejack and Spike.

Whatever ponies I happen to have out are usually moved around so much and so often they don't have time to get dusty. However, most of them are in storage. I have one display on top of my headboard and I'll be taking it down soon to replace it- I'm thinking of changing the display every month or at least whenever I feel like it, similar to my Monster High dolls, so I'll clean everything then.

G2s are my favorite generation and I've hardly seen any customs of them! Is there anyone here on the Arena who has done some G2 customs that I could look at and drool over?

So far I've only managed to find two for sale, one covered in pink highlighter and another SUPPOSEDLY for sale from a person who has neglected to show me any pictures of said pony though I'm interested in buying it. So, I'm on the hunt!~ If anyone has one for sale or knows of one for sale, pm me! Please and thank you!  Thanks stilettomlp for selling me yours! She has gone to a very loving home I can assure you!

Flutter ponies Yum Yum and Tropical Breeze. I just think their stark contrasting colors are horrid, and any ponies with color combinations similar to them. Just ew. Ewwwwwwwwwww. Also G3.5s are CREEPY as hell. Also BBEs. Even mint condition they're scary.

I think it's pretty much considered canon for ponies to have either one or two names, ponies in every generation have sometimes had two names, like Glittering Gem from G1, Berry Bright from G2, Twinkle Twirl from G3 and etc. I guess the fans figured that since it was done in previous generations, and since there was of course Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash, that there would be other ponies with two names as well? -goes back to reread original post- OHHHHH YOU MEANT THE FAN NAMES  well then I second pretty much what everyone else has said. /killed 5ever for being so silly

I  the miniscule fakies with the orange and green hooves! So utterly cute! Gotta track those down...
I have a bunch of them from my childhood but I already have these two. They were adorable they came with little miniature playsets like little styling salons and beds and they're really cute! Glittery G3.5 fakies! I might be interested in them, but what is up with that purple girl's foot? It's a Belle bandaid from Beauty and the Beast! Also it's kind of interesting, the light pink fakie on the left with the dark pink and white hair is flocked! Not nearly as soft as a regular MLP's flocking but it hasn't rubbed off or anything surprisingly.

I think they're supposed to be G3.5s. They terrify me. Want em? I don't care much for fakies so I'll be adding them to my sales thread soon. And YES those swapped ponies made me laugh. The child who had these was freaking STRONG, they managed to get the blue head onto the pink body, which was way too small for the head, the plastic around the neck is actually bulging outwards because the blue head is too big.
