What Does Term Flat Foot Mean? On G1's
« on: January 05, 2017, 12:10:18 PM »
Ok, so I have a G1 MLP Bluebelle that I think is considered a flat foot. My take is that the hoof is completely flat underneath and not concave like other ponies. Does having flat feet make her more valuable or is it just a part of the description?

You are correct, it means there is no concave portion to the bottom of the hoof.  It can indicate which version/release it is based on the mold used.  I am not sure which ones the price would be affected on though

I don't think that FF bluebells are worth very much (sorry), i might be wrong, but the last time i looked they weren't going for much.

A nice condition flat-footed bluebelle is worth a little more than a concave-footed bluebell, but not much. A nice one is worth maybe $10-15, while the concave footed one is probably more around $6-8.   :)

Flat Foot Bluebelle seems to be easier to find than the other Flat Foots, and even her concave foot version for some reason. I had a rough time getting a concaved Bluebelle for a while!

Sorry it's a little small. Flat Foot ponies are nominally older, they are the original style of feet from the original release which was later modified to concave and the legs spaced a bit more to stop them falling over. At least, I don't know if the flat feet were a problem that way, but the other proportions definitely were! So your Bluebelle is probably from the original release.

I would think that the value thing also depends a lot on condition, though. And I also think FF Peachy probably is the hardest to find and thus the most costly but on a relative scale as I don't think any of them are super expensive. (Am I wrong?)

Not that I know of. FF Peachy can start a bidding war under the right circumstances, but she's usually not that pricey. I'm hoping she stays that way, every time she pops up, I'm broke!

Thank you all. Yeah, she isn't worth much, but at least I now know I'm quoting flat foot correctly.  :)
