I totally am frustrated about it too! I would do ANYTHING for a brushable Big Mac!
At least the plush DOES look nice. I would recommend the Funko Big Mac for your boys ...but it's kinda big compared to the regular brushables. ^.^

Awww, poor kid getting upset that there's no brush-able Big Macintosh. =(

But really, what the hay Hasbro? How come Shining Armor got a brush-able toy and not any of the other male ponies like Big Macintosh? Get your rear in gear and make it so!

You could always get them a Big or Baby Brother if they want brushable boys.

Rather than contacting Hasbro-  it would honestly probably be more effective to contact Walmart/Target/Kmart/ToysRus and ask THEM for Big Mac.  Hasbro creates concepts- but it is the "Marts" that really direct the direction that toy line take- and Hasbro will make whatever it is that their customers (TRU and Walmart, not you) are asking for.

Hasbro is so lazy. I feel like we've been asking for boy ponies for the past 3 years and alllll we get is a shining armor and blindbags!!!! Theres little hope though, I saw Funrise is making a SA plush. I know Funrise is a different company than Hasbro, but its still a gleam of hope.

We've been asking for boys since the second year of G3, honestly.  I could *sort of* understand the lack of boys with that generation, but especially with boy ponies as significant characters AND the more varied audience of G4, I really am pretty shocked that the only boy they've released for this generation was more of an "accessory" to a princess.

This - manufacturers make what retailers want to buy. And to be fair to the retailers they make what the mass market wants.

I do think we will get a Big Mac eventually however. Whether he will be popped in a big set release though maybe...

Funko makes a Mystery Mini of Big Mac thats a bit more to scale with the Hasbro brushables than their large vinyl ponies. Might work as a place holder for your boys?

With a cartoon that has such a following amongst males, I find it ironic that we don't have more boy ponies made other than Funko and Blind Bags.    Would love to see a brushabale Big Mac .

I am right their with your boys.......brushable Big Mac FTW! I mean, Barbie has Ken, so why won't ponies have their male counterparts?

I always wonder how well the Big Brother ponies sold in the 80s. I wish Hasbro would do that again.....make a male line of brushables. At least we got Shining Armor but that's just not enough.

I think we need more boy ponies too. I would actually sign a petition or write another letter if we wanted to kind of send a bunch in to encourage them to make boy ponies. Thoughts?

I had the same discussion with my son. It is a shame that they do not make more boy ponies. Obviously there is demand with the whole brony movement.

There's a red fakie pony with an apple symbol that is often called a "Big Mac fakie" for his resemblance. I'm not sure how hard to find he is, but maybe you could find one to stand in for Big Mac?

I just don't know why hasbro hasn't produced boy ponies.  It's always been a complaint with them.  I am still floored that there is not one male G3.  O.o

I mean, we have four boys in our house (and boy #5 due in October!) - this is a common occurrence in our house:

That's my two year old.  He's adopted Pinkie as his bedtime buddy, along with my body pillow.  (It has three different ponies on it and every night he has to choose which pony he wants to sleep on for the night ^.^ )  And if you look hard enough, you'll see Applejack's hair sticking out of his lap.  Lol!

BOYS like ponies too Hasbro!!!  So come on...please???

I am working on a letter to Hasbro, and I'll also send one to TRU and Target.  Maybe we can get a brushable or Styling Big Mac.

I always wonder how well the Big Brother ponies sold in the 80s. I wish Hasbro would do that again.....make a male line of brushables. At least we got Shining Armor but that's just not enough.

I don't know, I'd be curious to know as well.  I know as a child, my dad took an active part in my collecting and as a result, I had all the sports themed brother ponies, plus a few extras.  ;)

My big problem with the release(s) of Shining Armor that they did was that I don't feel like it was a fair release (at least, not enough to judge interest in male ponies).  In order to get Shining Armor, you had to either buy the Castle with Cadence, the Collector Pack from TRU, or the twin pack of Styling Ponies.  All of those sets were going to run you at least $30 on up.  Where as you can get a single pony for as low as $4 now?  Come on Hasbro...  :(  Please???

CloudWeaver - He is adorable! Congrats on the new baby! What a blessing. I cannot wait to try for #3. Sadly I have to detox from some dental work first :/
