Hello everyone and Happy New Year!

My name is Sheila and I have loved My Little Pony since I was a child and my friend up the street and I would pretend we were MLPs going on adventures. I was especially mesmerized by the G1 Sea Ponies and Twinkle-Eyed Ponies. Sadly I never actually owned very many so I did a lot of pretending or played with my friend's ponies. The two or three that I did acquire were very much played with and on top of that I was a "cutter" and "tattoo artist" with them so they didn't survive very long. (I know, so sad.)

About 10 years ago I started to collect G1 MLPs. I had about 2 dozen used ones and a couple of mint-in-package beauties; all were purchased via Ebay. But I got married in 2004 and somehow most of them were lost or disposed of over the years. I now possess only 2 scruffy G1 Ponies: a 1982 flat-footed Blossom and a 1983 concave-footed Parasol. I also have a fair-condition MLP 1985 Collector's Case and one Blue Belle still in her package (though the plastic that is covering her has yellowed.) Here are some pictures.

As the title suggests I live in Oklahoma and my husband and I have a 7 year old daughter, Dara. I'll turn 34 in February. I'm a receptionist for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, an American Indian tribe, which also happens to be my mother's tribe (she was 1/4). We live with my Dad and his 2 dogs and 7 cats. I moved in after my Mom died 3 years ago. I miss her terribly and still long for her presence. I guess that feeling will never go away...

I'm not actively trying to acquire more MLPs at the moment because our living situation doesn't allow for me to collect much. However, I love to look around the internet at everyone else's collections. The way collectors are so beautifully restoring the G1s and photographing them delights me. I would enjoy hearing more about the process of restoration and photography.

Your MOC girl looks great.  I always like looking at G1 backcards - they remind me of when I was little.  I hope you enjoy the forums and making lots of new friends here

Thanks Diamond. One of these days I will probably part with the case, because, even though I love it, I would prefer to look at the actual G1 ponies... then again, maybe I'll just keep it...
