Hello there, fellow MLP fans!
My name is DeeDee, which is short for Darth Delicious, though I've been asked several times lately if I was "the DeeDee from the MLP Arena forum".
I am not
. We appear to share the same (nick)name and a fancy for MLP's, so it seems
!
I shall not bother you with explaining how I got this nickname
.
But you may always ask ofcourse!
My real name is Sylvie, I was born in a little village in the very north of The Netherlands, one year before the first My Little Pony was produced.
For now I live in the middle of the Netherlands, in a province called Gelderland.
But I tend to move around (it's "only" been 11 times so far
).
Since April 2007 I've been collecting My Little Ponies and Hasbro's Fairy Tails.
It all started when I was browsing on this national sellingplace called Marktplaats.nl where I bumped into a pink pony with white dots on her hips. She had always been my favourite!
Later on I discovered her name was Cotton Candy (I had no idea there were so many and ALL with names). Then I bumped into Lemon Drop too. I used to have the Show Stable (but I sold it on a fleemarket when I was just a kid *facepalms*). So I bought those two ponies.
When they arrived I was so in love with them again that I started to look for more ponies. And I found them. I found LOADS of them. And bought LOADS of them too *giggles*
I only collect the G1 ponies. And not all of them.
Only the ones I have memories of or those I find very pretty.
I believe I have about 150 MLP's in my collection at the moment, including playhouses. Some special, some very common a few rare.
I also have the brown big plastic "My Pretty Pony", which was made by Hasbro's sister-company Romper Room. It was the start of the BIG success of the My Little Ponies. I'm so proud that they're still among us!
I'm still working on putting my whole collection on my website (only have "year 1" put up for now), but I already finished doing so for my Fairy Tails collection.
Have a look around if you like
.
Besides MLP's I love to draw and write and cuddle my cat Sam.
I also like taking pictures, play pc-games like City of Heroes and Need for Speed and recently I've taken a course in sewing clothes. Still a lot to learn about that!
I'm the administrator and websitebuilder of the Dutch Suzuki Alto Club, as my car is an old (youngtimer) Suzuki Alto from January 1995. And I'm very proud of it!
Now, to put an end to this long story (I tend to use a lot of words
), I can't wait to see all your collections!
*waves*
