so yeah, I wonder how many people own the playful version of sweetie blue.
she was aparently only sold in taobao, so I guess that only collectors would buy her, but I've never seen a pic from a collector, only the pic from taobao.

The thing with Taobao ponies is that they are VERY limited release - if there was only 5 listed, there are only 5 in the whole world.    They're factory "seconds" or "extras" and therefore aren't readily available.

You probably don't see too many photos of her because not too many people have her.    Congrats.

yes I know that thing about taobao, is just that, I've seen collectors with G4 minty, but I've never seen a pic of sweetie blue besides that taobao one, is like, strange the fact that a collector doesn't show off her...as if just nobody had her, but somebody MUST have her, and if somebody has her, then it must be a collector :/

At least 2 collectors have her. Originally when they were being sold on Taobao, I think there were like 20 of them if I remember correctly? I watched the numbers slowly dwindle down and regret not trying to buy one now. Only 2 of them seemed to make it out of China, because it wasn't as popular to buy ponies from Taobao at that time.

1 was only ever sold on ebay, so yeah, you probably don't see pictures because most of the Sweetie Blues are somewhere in China and never made it to most of the collectors here.

The reason you see more pics of Minty is because there are like a dozen Mintys floating around vs. 2 Sweetie Blues.

Unless Sweetie Blue and Minty are just really good bootlegs, Hasbro must have had plans to release them at some point. Or were at least thinking about it and wanted to see some prototypes. I wonder what changed their minds?

I agree with Bright Idea - I only know of 2 in total [one of them being Sarah Bees]. There were about 20ish listed on Taobao when she first showed up - but the key to this one is that Taobao sellers "stock totals" can often be a little fictional, so whether there truly are that many I would doubt it - mainly as more collectors would own her by now.
