Welcome to the 4th OT Sticker swap!
Hello and Welcome back if you joined us previously! I always have so much fun hosting this, stickers have always been a great favorite of mine, even as a young child! ^-^ I hope everyone else has as much fun as we've had in the past with this swap!


So obviously this swap is all about stickers! The theme is preeety basic on that side, but on the other side, it can have MANY themes depending on the sort of things your partner is interested in, so please take a look at their Q&A closely. :D

Sign up: July 9 - july 18 (or as soon as approved)
Arranging and assigning partners: july 19 - july 25

~non sticker extras are welcome but shouldn't be the focus and are also not counted in the spending price.
~opened stickers from your personal collection would be considered extras.

Favorite color? I love purple paired with black or dark grey, and light turquoise paired with white (those are the colors of my room btw), I also love pastel rainbows, or even bold colored rainbows.

Favorite candy? Im not too picky, I like chewy/gummy things, salt water taffy, or even laffy taffy xD, raspberry and peach flavor ANYTHING.

Do you like handmade things? YES YES YES!

What do you use your stickers for? I decorate almost anything with them lol, folders, letters and mail mostly, I also have a ton of water bottles I use while working out, I decorate these with vinyl/car stickers as they can stand up to many washes lol.

Are there any extras you might like that relate to your sticker hobby? I love washi tape, cute stationery! I cant find stationary around here xD. I also like and collect blank cards that I can fill in myself. (cards can be anything related to my interests lol)

Partner are there any UK goodies you would like as extras in your box? Id be happy with annnything in my box lol

Coffee, Tea, other Favorite Beverage?Not much of a coffee/tea drinker, mostly stick to water, but I do like lemonade and raspberry flavoring occasionally, not sure they make anything that could be put into a box though lol.

Envelopes, cards, swap boxes, scrapbooking, thank you notes, etc. I use stickers all the time. And some I keep for collection if they are too cool to use lol.

You can go ahead and start asking questions, but the likes/dislikes that you put in your app will go straight to your partner once assigned :D

Remember to try and make ONE post that you edit with all Q&A, Ill eventually link those to the member list after I close sign ups.

Also I use stickers on EVERYTHING! Mail does not leave my house without a sticker, drawings or washi tape! xD I also use them to decorate things like my phone, ds, laptop... anything that a sticker will stick to basically xD.

I horde them or use them to decorate other swap boxes. Normally I use tissue paper to wrap with and use stickers and washi/deco tape to decorate the paper with. Or I trade them via other swaps.

Okay partner, here is your post for all things mkia9!! I went ahead and copied and pasted the swap app in here as well, so everything is in one place. I will update with any questions asked on this post, too!

Types of stickers you like:
I'm pretty open to stickers. I like to use them on envelopes and such, but some I just keep because I like them. I'd say maybe no fuzzy ones, just because I feel like they get dirty to easily lol. I actually prefer non-scrapbook stickers most of the time, just because I don't tend to use the "fancy" stickers. My favorite to use are the regular paper stickers. But if its Disney collection related, any type is fair game!

Things you LOVE:
Hmmm...I love lots of things lol. This could get really random. Zebras, Chihuahuas, Cats, cute food, sparkly things, animals, disney characters, cute things. I dunno lol. Cute animals. Chubby animals. Nerdy animals. Animals with clothes on. Doggies.

Brands:
DISNEY!!! Seriously I am a Disney fiend. You can send me all Disney stickers and I will be your bestest friend lol.

Tv/movie themes/Characters:
Okay so obviously DISNEY lol. But my favorites for disney: Aristocats (ESPECIALLY the kittens. If you find me Aristocat stickers I will seriously jump for joy...and theyll stay intact for collection). Other disney favorites: Pocahontas, mickey and minnie, chip and dale, Ursula, Ariel, 101 dalmations, beauty and the beast (especially chip and mrs potts), and I actually really love "Disneyland" themed stuff. So like...rides, stores, themed areas, etc...think Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, etc...like if they have stickers of the old ride posters or something like that.
Okay so non-Disney TV/movie/character likes: HARRY POTTER, Doctor who, MLP, Once Upon a Time, Divergent, Hunger Games.

Things you DO NOT love:
I always have the worst trouble with this question because I try not to be super picky. Umm I guess nothing super weird? Not into anime. I'd prefer not to get big huge stickers (UNLESS its Aristocats). Prefer no car stickers as I don't put them on my car. Don't like bugs or reptiles. Not big on letter stickers (like a,b,c,d..). Prefer not to have any of the third grade report card "smiley faces" or "stars".

Anything else you want your partner to know?
Ummm....Disney? Lol.

Definitely!! :). I'd love to receive something hand made by my partner.

Mostly I use them on cards and swap boxes. There are some that I keep to collect, though! Mostly aristocats or pocahontas ones are kept for collection.

I love a good pen!! Especially if it's cute, too lol. Otherwise a small set of pretty or neat blank cards would always get used!

Who me? Disney? Nawwwwwwww  ;) I think I probably went over my disney favorites enough in other questions, but as I've been shopping, I keep seeing a bunch of super cute Mickey and Minnie stickers. I'd love some of those! :)

My avatar is my OC pony...but she has no name. I'm not very creative lol. Favorite pony is Toola Roola and Zecorra.

I do have pets! I have five dogs (chihuahuas) and three cats. Toys are welcome for them, but no treats please. The dogs like squeeky balls and hard nylabones. Cats mostly like jingle balls and boxes lol. I also have guinea pigs, rats, and a fish but they dont need anything lol.

Lol my fiance (tinyunicornfarm) is getting her own box, so she doesn't need anything in mine! :P

Its up to you, partner. Honestly the box will probably be put on the ground for the cats to play with lol. So nothing too fancy as itll likely get destroyed.

Dinosaurs yes! Ermmm bugs...no. Not even cute ones really. Butterflies are okay. Lady bugs okay. But I don't think there's such a thing as a cute cockroach lol.

I do like tsum tsums!! Ermmm I'm not sure if there's any specific ones I'm looking for. Any of the little mermaid ones are welcome!

How about coffee mugs?
I think I addressed this in my original post :P. Yes I have a coffee mug obsession! I prefer them to be from one of my likes, though. (Disney, Harry Potter, etc)

Do you want me to ship early OR do you want me to look for some things in China?
Whatever works best for you partner! I understand not wanting to drag everything to China and then ship internationally. So if it's easier to ship early, that's fine. On the flip side, if there's any cool disney things in China that we can't get here, I'd love those too!

Types of stickers you like:

I love puffy, scratch / sniff, glow in the dark, glittery, 3D, sparkly... I choose my stickers just as much for what their theme is as I do for how they are made as a sticker, but getting stickers that are unique things (like those listed above) that match my interests can be really fun. Note: I am fairly new to collecting stickers--I just started this year. Aside from the one dislike listed below, I am generally happy to get new types of stickers so please don't feel limited by the above list.)

Things you LOVE:

Anything space or astrology based (Stars, suns, moons, planets, zodiac stuff, rainbows)

Anything cute and girlie (Hearts, happy faces, princess crowns, shopaholic themed stickers, quirky shoe stickers, ballet slippers, little hand mirrors or other accessories, stickers of any unique characters that have a girlie design to them...)

Animals (Pigs, owls, puppies, kittens, dolphins / whales / fish, penguins, turtles, dinosaurs, butterflies, horses)

Food (Ice Cream, Cakes and Sweets, Summer Foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., tea / coffee )
Anything Fantasy Themed: (Crowns, wands, fairies, princes and princesses, knights, swords, castles, wizards, angels, mermaids, jewels, unicorns, dragons, monsters etc.)

What do you use stickers for?: I have a Tetris themed book with blank pages that I like putting flat ones in. Others wind up on tech gadgets, a set of old white shelves I'm sticker-collaging, or on writing notebooks / journals. Sometimes I also just keep them for when the right idea comes along. I also use them when decorating swap boxes and greeting cards.

Are there any extras you might like that relate to your sticker hobby?: I got into stickers because of doing swaps and because I discovered how much I like using them to decorate things. I'm a writer, so stationary, pens, cute notebooks, etc. are always useful. I'm also fond of little booklets to put stickers in. My main one right now is a Tetris themed book with neon paper, but different books could work with different types of stickers, so I wouldn't be against having another. :lol:

What kind(s) of sticker books do you like?: I actually had no idea that so many different types existed. I thought the type where you get the book and try to fill it in was an older thing that had mostly stayed relevant through football. Interesting that this is not the case. Generally, when I think of a sticker album I think of a cute book where I'm going to put stickers onto pages so I can flip through it and enjoy them. Hope that helps. :)

Are there any UK items you would like? I'm always up for new things from places I haven't been. I don't have anything leaping out at me off the top of my head, though.

Coffee, tea or other favorite beverage?: Tea! Tea! Tea! :heart: I am an absolute tea-aholic. :lol: I tend to prefer bagged tea to loose leaf tea because of the type of tea maker I have here. Types I know I like include: orange pecoe, pomegranate white, blueberry white, chai, peach white and earl grey. Two types I know I don't care for are apple and camomile tea. For the most part, I'm happy to try new tea, though. :)

Do you prefer Applejack, Fluttershy, or Rarity? I love all three of them, but my preference would be Rarity --> Fluttershy --> Applejack.

What are your hobbies / interests?: Writing, music, video games, drawing / coloring, blogging, watching anime and retro cartoons... As I mentioned randomly in the thread, once Camp NaNoWriMo is over I think my next project is going to be a smash journal.

(See my answers above about those), writing stuff and stationary (pens, cute post-its for noting things, cute notebooks, etc.), decorative tape (I think that's called Washi tape but I could be wrong? Still pretty new to using that), coloring books (If I'd collect it as a sticker, odds are good I'd color it), bookmarks (same idea as stickers; if I think something is cute / cool it'll carry over)... It's so fun! I don't have time or patience for scrapbooking but I can always glue ticket stubs and photos in a book, write a short thing and slap some stickers and washi tape on it!

Seriously Walmart is a great place to shop for me if you live here in the United States! I love their fox and ocean life stickers sooo much! They also have a plentiful selection of Hello Kitty, MLP, Disney stuff for under $1. They have SO much cute stuff! Ebay is also an amazing place! =3

Allergies?
I am allergic to consuming egg whites, I always have to carry an epipen! Traces of egg whites are safe though- I have never had any problems!

I like candy and stationary! Sour gummies, Reeses products, and Wonka are my favorites! I also love pencils, tiny notebooks, and sticky notes! I love japanese Iwako food puzzle erasers, omg especially if they are animals or desert food! Anything Pink or cute animals is another fun idea! Its only $5 in extras so please dont stress over it and overspend! ^-^ If you are from another country shopping for me get me something cool I cannot get here in the States! UKers, im missing Rainbow Power Rarity with the neon hair!

Brands:

Two brands that I simply love, love, love when it comes to scrapbooking stickers (and scrapbooking supplies in general) are K&Company and Tilda. Being located in Germany, it's extremely difficult for me to come by any K&Company stickers unless I am willing to pay exorbitant amounts of money for shipping. If my partner were located in the US and managed to snatch some of those I'd be thrilled! Tilda is a Swedish company, and easiest to come by in Europe. :heart:

Just like any child in Germany in the late 80s, I had a sticker collection that I would keep in a few precious sticker albums. The majority of those stickers were produced by Sandylion in the late 80s and early 90s. About two years ago, I decided to try and rebuild my childhood collection.

Miraculously, vintage sticker sheets by Sandylion are still easily and cheaply obtainable via ebay and the like. However, many US and Canadian sellers will not ship to Germany. If my swap partner came from the US or Canada, I would be thrilled if they had a quick look whether they were able to obtain any of the sheets that I am still missing. (Dear partner, if it’s not pictured, don’t buy it! In all likelihood, I already own it. ;))

Re snacks: I am a vegetarian and, sadly, I have a lactose intolerance. Ingredients that need to be avoided are any animal produce (such as gelatine) as well as any dairy produce (such as milk sugar). White chocolate (which I love) and vegan snacks are usually a safe bet, however, I'd be just as happy if my partner didn't include any snacks!

Lol, to be honest, I don't have any use for sticker albums myself. I prefer to keep my stickers on their original sheets rather than sticking them into an album, I'm not into collectibles, and I find myself more drawn to beautiful single sheets rather than albums with loads of printed stickers. :)

Twinings tea! With the swap boxes arriving in September and autumn being almost on the doorstep, tea would be perfect! I especially like Twinings fruit teas and Twinings Lady Grey tea. :heart:

Things you DO NOT love: I am not interested in Pokemon and Digimon (although Eevee is admittedly cute!), moustache stuff, smushed face animals (pugs, Persians etc.), Doraemon, I don't like most shounen anime/manga ie: Naruto, Bleach, Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball (although I do like Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Oh My Goddess! and Detective Conan), although I like comic strip characters like Snoopy, Garfield etc. well enough I don't want goods with these characters, video games, Pullip/Blythe -- big headed dolls (I love my J-Doll though and love Pullip clothes), I like looking at other's Monster High dolls but I don't collect them or their goods myself, I like Hello Kitty well enough but not her trendy tanned version  and I feel she's a little overplayed, I'm not a Littlest Pet Shop collector either, I'm not a big fan of Mickey, Donald etc. although the girls in cute retro outfits have caught my eye before, insects (other than butterflies, ladybugs, fireflies and very cute bees and dragonflies), arachnids, G2 and G3.5 ponies, the color orange, monsters (vampires, mummies, zombies, bad witches, basically anything creepy, gross, scary, gory etc.), needles, Kewpie, CG Chipettes and all the new versions of 1980s characters (except MLP, I like FiM), I like Sanrio but I don't care for Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, Kuromi, Patty & Jimmy, Hangyodon, Kappa Rumba, Lloromannic, Monkichi, Chi Chai Monchan, Pekkle, Minna No Tabo, Shinkansen, Pippo, Robowan, Kyupi or the Runabouts; I'm not a big fan of San-X characters in general (I do however particularly like Berry Puppy, Homekoro, and Jewel Cat), Monchhichi, Smurfs, sad and gloomy things, nail stickers, tattoos, rub-on transfers, sports themes, military/camo theme, teacher stickers

I never trust sticker albums to release my stickers after a traumatic event in elementary school so I don't use any currently. Once upon a time I had something akin to a photo album that had clear sheets of pockets for stickers and that was perfect! If you do find something like that partner, always opt for maximum pastel 80s cuteness!

Have you heard of the designer stationary company, Pink Chandeleir? I hadn't but it sounded adorable so I looked it up. Is this the same as Pink Light? Their floral designs in particular are so cheerful!

What are your hobbies and interests? My hobbies are reading, writing, herbalism, crafting, thrifting, tea ceremony, travelling and dressing up in vintage outfits.

What kinds of things do you like as extras? I like blind bags and craft supplies and small collectibles. I'm most impressed by things that show some research. I've been doing swaps for a couple of years so if you read my older swap questions you'll get pretty detailed descriptions of exactly what I like. :D

Do you like Disney characters? If so...which? Do you like the classics? (Mickey Minnie Donald Daisy) or only newer ones? I'm not a big fan of Disney's main characters. Daisy and Minnie in retro garb can be adorable but that's about it. My favorite characters are: Miss Bianca from The Rescuers, Lady from Lady and the Tramp, Marie and Duchess from the Aristocats, Robin Hood and Maid Marian, and although I like all the princesses, Belle is my favorite. I also like fairies like Tinker Bell.

Do you have a pony OC? If not, favorite pony? I don't have a real OC. Sonnet (my avatar) is the closest and I had a ponicature drawn at a convention but I don't have the feeling of connection with either of them that I think most people with ponysonas do. My favorite G1 is Glory and my favorite G4 in Rarity. Close second favorites? G1 - Windy, G4 - Pinkie Pie.

Do you have pets and can I please include something for them? My husband and I have two cats. His is a Korat mix and mine is a Ragdoll. They love boxes and string and Luna, my Ragdoll, will play with crumpled up paper until she puts it in her water dish and it falls apart. So as long as you put wrapped presents in a cardboard box (it doesn't need to be big enough for a cat, in fact trying to fit in small boxes is its own fun challenge) you will have pleased our cats. ^_^ (However I'd love some Ragdoll stickers!)

Do you want your box decorated or would you prefer that is not done? Decorated boxes are fun! My only caveat is that you don't use any stickers I'd love that can't be found unused inside as well. I will be very sad if I have to see wonderful stickers that I can't use.

Do you like cute bugs, reptiles, butterflies, dragons and dinosaurs? There are only three kinds of bugs I like in the decorative sense - butterflies, lightning bugs (fireflies) and ladybugs. I am otherwise terrified of bugs in general. I don't like most reptiles, dragons and dinosaurs so I'm not looking to collect stickers of them. Sorry... I sound like such a girly-girl but I do like earthworms and toads in real life!

Do you like tsum tsums? If so are there any you're looking for? I do. :) I am currently looking for Eeyore for my husband who is a total Eeyore.

How about coffee mugs? I'm more of a teacup collector but I do treasure my vintage Tenderheart Bear mug so if it's got one of my interests emblazoned on it, go for it!

As long as you stick to the “things I love” and avoid the “things I do not love” I will be happy. I do like those Panini/Merlin stickers, the ones that go in the sticker albums. I would be super happy to receive stickers for my Frozen and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers sticker albums, doesn’t matter if they are loose or still in packs as long as they still have their backing.

I also like mechanical pencils, post-it notes (not plain yellow pads, but the ones with cute shapes or designs), any cute stationery that has to do with my any of likes would be cool too.

Do you have pets and can I please include something for them?
I do have pets, four cats and a Yorkie. My pets are like my children. They are usually with me when I open my swap boxes and they are always very happy when they receive something! They love treats and toys. Smaller, softer treats are easiest for them to eat and enjoy. Cappy (my Yorkie) likes plush squeak toys and rope toys. The cats like anything that crinkles, jingles, or dangles. Photos in the spoiler!

My sister loves stickers. She actually took part in the sticker swap last year. She really wanted to participate this year as well but was unable to do so. I think she would be really happy and surprised to receive some stickers. And I certainly don't mind if you spend some of the budget on her. Seeing my sister happy makes me happy too.

I love strange flavored potato chips! I've actually got a bunch in my kitchen right now that my mom bought for me to try. I saw that some of you talked about sticker albums in your swap forms, and I was wondering what kinds of sticker albums you were referring to as there are so many different types. So ... Question time!

What kinds of sticker albums do you like:

• albums with blank pages that you can add stickers to and remove from again
  (the stickers remain reusable after removal from the pages)
• albums that contain pages full of of stickers that relate to one theme
  (such as an album full of unicorn stickers)
• albums for collectibles
  (like the G1 MLP album by Panini)?

Lol, to be honest, I don't have any use for sticker albums myself. I prefer to keep my stickers on their original sheets rather than sticking them into an album, I'm not into collectibles, and I find myself more drawn to beautiful single sheets rather than albums with loads of printed stickers. :)

The pages of sticker albums are made of the same laminated paper that sticker sheets are. You can thus stick and unstick your stickers at any time. Here's a picture of the sticker album I used to have as a child (note the original sheets below):

Hahaha, yeah, that's exactly what ran through my mind when I discovered what smash journaling was. I have all kinds of scrapbooks, smash journals, photo journals, photo albums and journals ... I just love being creative and free and inspired without having to stick to any rules or definitions. :biggrin: My latest project (I'll probably be working on that one for some months) is a photo/scrapbook album of my university years with all of my favourite photos (trips, parties, graduations, Greece, Italy, England, picnics at the lake ...) and all kinds of odds and ends that have a sentimental value. :)

Twinings tea! With the swap boxes arriving in September and autumn being almost on the doorstep, tea would be perfect! I especially like Twinings fruit teas and Twinings Lady Grey tea. :heart:

I updated my q&a with the new questions. I've gotten a few sheets of stickers and I've ordered a few online. Hopefully those get here in a timely manner. Here's a question for everyone:

What are your hobbies and interests?
I read a lot. I love books. I'm also into crafty things and like to sew. I love to work out and love yoga, piyo, turbo kick, biking and hiking. I've already mentioned smash journaling. Obviously I adore toys. I mostly collect mlp and moomin porcelain dishes/mugs but I have tiny collection of enchanted kingdom horses too. I'm also very into my kids' shopkins and puppy in my pocket toys.

Hey fellas, Is flat-rate those boxes you can get where you can stuff as many items in it and it isnt calculated by weight? Cuz like... if I can fit all of this into a $5 flat rate box that would be aweaome and I could get even more stuff for my partner!  Also im sure there are people shopping for international Areneans wondering if there are something like that for people overseas! The $5 flat rate boxes are preeeetty small. About the length and width of a dvd case, and maybe 1 1/2 inches tall. You might be able to make it work but it just depends on what you have.

As for the international flat rate boxes, I don't recommend them. They're suuuuuuuper pricey. You're better off to just ship based on weight.

Redbubble sells a ton of odds and ends, its like a printing company like.. cafepress I suppose? Iv only ever bought their vinyl stickers. Not sure if its all the time, but right now if you buy 6 or more stickers, they give you 50% off, which means most of the stickers are 1.20 xD. I think if you make an account they also give you $10 off your order, not sure if that stacks with the 50% off tho.

I just like all the cutesy/artsy prints i find there. ^-^

OOOOOK I'm so sorry about the slow return here! I've got all the new questions tucked away in their post, I THINK I got all of them, just poke me if I missed one. I've also added a few more questions, so take a look. I decided I'll alternate the colors so you can tell when new questions have been added just by glancing at it. :)

Oh hey fellas, heads up for anyone shopping for someone internationally, USPS flate rates DO have a weight limits!!  I read this when I picked up a few envelopes for stuff I sold on ebay! The envelopes have an international weight limit of 4lbs and I believe the boxes have a limit of 20lbs internationally but domestic has a 70lb weight limit? WOW im just imagining what 70lbs in stickers looks like!!!! :green:

I have a quick question! I have a sticker store by my house which sells stickers by the little sheets. It's basically walls of stickers on rolls and you tear off what you want. Would those count as new? I bought a ton for my partner but want to know of those count as extras since they are not in a package? The prices range from .10 - 3.00 per sheet. Please let me know!!

Also partner: do you like cute bugs, reptiles, butterflies, dragons and dinosaurs? I'm talking cute with big eyes or pretty and sparkly/shiny not icky or scary or realistic.

ALSO I really needed to add that I will be gone in early September!  I will be leaving my area and vacationing at the minty-green Gulf coast on the beach for a while!!! I do have pets! I have five dogs (chihuahuas) and three cats. Toys are welcome for them, but no treats please. The dogs like squeeky balls and hard nylabones. Cats mostly like jingle balls and boxes lol. I also have guinea pigs, rats, and a fish but they dont need anything lol.

The same goes for human family members :p
Lol my fiance (tinyunicornfarm) is getting her own box, so she doesn't need anything in mine! :P

Do you want your box decorated or would you prefer that is not done?:
Its up to you, partner. Honestly the box will probably be put on the ground for the cats to play with lol. So nothing too fancy as itll likely get destroyed.

I think I will wrap some of the stickers but maybe like 2-3 sheets together. It is nice to open them up but it would be impossible to wrap them all and I would need a much bigger box!

Agree. Our Walmart had nothing!! They used to have a whole aisle with some decent stickers and now basically just disney jr and avengers stuff. That's okay, I think I have a pretty good haul for my partner.

The stickers I was looking for are the ones they have by the cards - the american greetings/hallmark/disney ones but I only found one set from there.  :cry: They do have the stickos and scrapbook ones in another section, but its not really what my parter is looking for.

This goes to whoever shopping for me- Since Im going on vacation for a week in the very beginning of September, i wont be there at home if my box arrives early! Take your time shipping! Shipping my box out will not be a rush at all, so it might work out to be perfect to hold off shipping! :3 Id hate to be on vacation and have my box delivered when im gone, its been so hot here this month and they usually leave my parcels outside on my patio! Melted stickers LOL!

Im picking a few more things out for my partner tomorrow, theres a BTS sale going on and apparently some stuff at my micheals is reduced 50%-75% to clear! @_@

I do have pets, four cats and a Yorkie. My pets are like my children. They are usually with me when I open my swap boxes and they are always very happy when they receive something! They love treats and toys. Smaller, softer treats are easiest for them to eat and enjoy. Cappy (my Yorkie) likes plush squeak toys and rope toys. The cats like anything that crinkles, jingles, or dangles. Photos in the spoiler!

I made it to China after almost 3 days of travel  :cry:
the one layover in Shanghai, they delayed all flights for no known reason and cancelled all but the one I was one - it was delayed for SIX hours, this after 40 something hours of freakin traveling.

FYI I need an adaptor so I can plug in my computer and I have nto order it online so I may go MIA again.

^ Strange flavored potato  chips are the best!!! xD I always have fun with weird chip flavors like cinnamon sugar, caviar, green tea, mac and cheese, and ketchup chips! Im even willing to try non-vegetarian flavored as long as  its artificial or not made with pieces of meat!! Today I tried the West Coast Pacific truffle fries flavor!! Its actually very yummy!

I love strange flavored potato chips! I've actually got a bunch in my kitchen right now that my mom bought for me to try. I have Southern Biscuits & Gravy flavored chips, Gyro flavored chips, and Truffle Fries flavored chips. When it comes to food, I love trying new things. So strange flavored chips are right up my alley!

As long as the flavor isn't too smokey or spicy I'm likely game. I do have a sense of adventure, but I'm also prone to heartburn so I have to watch what treats I have.

Cucumber sounds good. In general I like a lot of different flavors and I'm up for trying anything except meat flavors.

Help! I need some advice! I have a couple sheets of stickers for my partner that are really big, they are seriously oversized. My problem is I cannot find a box to fit them, the problem is that a box that big are also very deep. I am concerned about it costing a fortune to ship a huge box with a small amount of stuff in it.

Are the stickers really large? Or smaller stickers on a large sheet? If they are smaller stickers on a large sheet, I'd be fine with you carefully cutting the sheets into smaller pieces to make it easier to ship. Unless it's a sheet that's going to be collection only...

Rolling them up is a great idea! I went with the huge, deep box, though, and added some extras that filled the gaps. ;)

@True, may we have our partners' addresses now? I've got everything wrapped and decorated, and would love to prepare the parcel for dispatch! :) Oh, and would I be allowed to ship one day early (i.e. on Friday 28th)? My parents will come over for a visit, and I would be able to take advantage of their car. ;) Teaser coming up tomorrow, need to wait for daylight to take a good photo ...

Uh Partner, I can't find my tissue paper and I dont think wrapping paper is something they use in China. So some of your items may not be wrapped.  :cry: I did wrap some before I left but not everything.

Ah yeah sending out addresses shortly, Son has middle school orientation tomorrow and i might not be home on saturday!

If you want to ship early thats fine, but there's still a few shopping days left if you need it. Also if you're shipping international, keep in mind how much time it takes for those things to get where they're headed. Might want to think about shipping a little earlier. :)

Ideally, I'm aiming to ship by Wednesday. I'll confirm this one way or another as the week goes on. I can't wait for you to get what I am sending. A few of the stickers took time to come in, but I think they were worth the wait. :D Hopefully you'll agree. :)

As for the cutting / folding / rolling thing I agree with the others that is fine. Making sure stuff fits is important because post prices can be scary if a box is too big. :lol:

There was a lost tooth, throwing up, too little sleep, rude girls who told me my mac'n cheese was disgusting because it wasn't Kraft, and basically all around brattyness. My daughter was an angel, it was the cousins who weren't so well behaved. I need a nice relaxing night! I'm glad it's just me, my kiddos and the hubby.

My box arrived today! It is so amazingly awesome! Words cannot describe just how wonderful my swap box is! Thank you so much Libelle! Just updating here! Partner, I think I already mentioned this but I promise your box is on the way!!!! I forgot to send True the trackin/shipping number before we left for the beach! I have my actual purse with me, I might still have the recipet burried in there! I will check tomorrow, Its like 11pm here right now all the way over here on the East Coast! Im sunburned to HECK even with spf 100+ and my other spf 55 thick sunblock cream on top of that! ヾ(｡>﹏<｡)/ Ive actually got sun poisoning on my legs and nose, yoooouchies! Partner Im sorry about the delay -_-; I wanted to make a tote to put all your stickers in, and I swear.. Iv made dozens of these things over the years, and usually it takes me an hour tops! OK here it is, my teaser, umm i didnt realize the photo cut off some stuff xD but it is a teaser after all.
Its kinda a personal tradition of mine to pack up all the stickers in a tote bag of some kind xD and I just really wanted it to be handmade this year. Hopefully you will like it partner.

also the stickers on the packets have nothing to do with whats inside.. my son just really wanted to put stickers on something haha.

that one didnt turn out as neat as i had hoped >.< i mean it looks ok from the outside, but idk my machine just made the job way harder then it had to be. u.u but I still hope my partner likes it

(but it was probably because I decided to use quilters binding for the straps and it made the fabric so thick) xD

Id love to make more of them.. just probably not with binding straps xD

Lol I've been looking for a cute disney tote to go trick or treating with (at the Disneyland Mickey's Halloween Party, not on the streets haha. No one is too old to trick or treat at disneyland!) and this one is super cute. All the ones I keep seeing online are either plastic and therefore easily breakable, or like $30

Yup! We are actually going to two of the parties! Sept 30 and Oct 2. There's trick or treating, special fireworks, villain character photo ops, and the rides of course! We're excited :)

Hopefully everything arrives OK. When i dropped it off, I had to explain to to friend EVERYHING that was wrapped up in each thing and then she told the PO worker in Chinese. Even the items that were not wrapped, I had to explain what they were. I hope customs didn't unwrap anything. The PO worker said next time to just wrap everything up in a bag and tape it together and send it like that..NO BOX or padded envelope. I was like WTF? Although this explains why I often get things from china sent to me in plastic bags..

Do all customs across the world open the boxes and check!? :cry: I sent a small box of candy out to one of my friends once but I wrapped it up weird with packaging paper and packaging tape. *flinches at idea they stabbed the pretty sparklily box the candies came in*

Also last year I had a swap and I remember who I shopped for lived overseas. She didnt take pictures of the presents, just the goods inside. I wonder if customs unwrapped her gifts....

I worked a few of the parties, it was pretty cool. I just stood someplace in Liberty square and handed out candy, OR sometimes I was handing out candy for the "special" caracters

It could go quicker. When I shipped (on a Thursday I think), it said my partner would get it on Tuesday, but they got it on the Saturday before that instead! Shipping is wonky sometimes lol

I think they meant that they meant something like UPS or DHL. from what I have read online, using FEDEX or anything like that costs way more then China post - something about import taxes or something.

OK I have a request for all the members of this swap. :p
It's probably no surprise to people who have participated in this swap over previous years, that I send out a special commemorative sticker and thank you card. In the past I always used people's OC ponies or favorite pony character. But I got the idea that a Sticker swap mascot might be a neat idea! I know it's a bit late... since the swap is nearly finished. But I could still use it for the commemorative sticker, and then get much more use out of it in following years.

So I decided this year's swap group would get to choose a few of the features of this mascot. :p Especially because I can't decide if i want it to be unicorn, earth, pegasus.. or how I want the colors to be.
So Iv put together a quick poll and ill send everyone the link. (you don't have to answer) but I would love as much feedback as I can get. ^-^

Im keeping it pretty simple though. The mascots body will be white, and the hair will be some sort of rainbow. The cutie mark will be.. STICKERS xD.

It all arrived in one piece and the parcels were still wrapped!! The box survived the journey  :biggrin:

Most of things we bought in Disney were Peter Pan toys for our 3 year old, but there was so much gorgeous merchandise, I could have gone crazy, especially the Christmas stuff :drool:

I got an attemempted delivery slip today in my door after I got my flu shot, (lolol i was gone for like... half an hour?) but it could be anything! I have a flood of tsum tsums arriving in the mail, some from DMR and foreign countries. They needed my signature so I will have to grab whatever it is tomorrow!

No kidding!!! Lol. There must be over 50 whole sticker packs and even more of the little sheets! I walked in from work to see a GIANT box and I was like :dropjaw:

ETA: Just counted. 45 sticker sheets/packs in the packaging. Plus all the little sheets of stickers (which must be at least that but probably more!). I'm just in awe of this box. Holy cow. Plus all the awesome extras and CANDY!!!! I was totally craving skittles today too!!

I'm excited because I don't remember what the hell I even bought.

Let's see - the stickers are all probably made in China, then shipped to US sellers, bought by me in NY, then I hauled them back to China only to ship them back to the USA.  ^.^ Some items may or may not have originated in Japan   ;)

I used some of the butterfly stickers you sent me to decorare a wedding card today (its all fancy now!) and I used some of the cherry blossoms on my ferrets's pink retractable leash, then used a korean name badge sticker you also sent to write her name down in japanese!! It looks SO cute now!!! :-)

Off topic, but that is really rude. Compare the (paid) personal annual leave in the US or in Europe with what the people here have. Which is in most cases 0. They sure deserve the little holidays they get.

Hope your stickers arrive soon. But it could take about 2-3 months.

I very seldom got holidays off and none of it was ever paid. I didn't really get the time off here either - I had to go on a trip with the school. Free trips are nice but not when I have to be with kids from 5 AM till 9 PM at night.

And no, I was not stuck in that traffic Jam. I wasn't anywhere near Beijing. I am about 300 miles north of Shanghai and 550 miles south of Beijing.

I am not really happy here as the city is very small and it is VerY isolating, plus the owner is constantly complaining that she never wanted an American teacher. It is very stressful and my anxiety is through the roof.  In Feb, I am hoping over to Tokyo for about 2 months.
