Was meaning to post about this earlier but haven't gotten around to it till now. Just felt the need to share about my near death experience haha
On Friday I went horse riding with my mate Clare at the riding place we always go to. It was super quiet because it was a really cold day so we decided to go out onto the bigger track they have so we could do some jumps and gallops.
When we got out onto the track my horse, Buggs, shot off at a gallop to try and warm himself up. Mistletoe, Clare's horse followed like she always does (she likes to tail gate other horses
). This would have been fine and I would have been able to get him under control but just as I was getting him to slow down he swerved and my stirrup snapped from the share force of my foot. Long story short I went flying off at at least 30Km an hour and landed on my head, before sliding across the ground. I hurt my hip and neck and had a huge lump on my head and a black eye. Clare fell off just behind me, breaking the fall with her butt.
I'm very lucky I was wearing a riding helmet.
