Lullaby Nursery question
« on: December 06, 2014, 09:50:53 AM »
I have a friend in Norway who has a Lullaby Nursery she is considering giving up, and she's asked if I'd like it if she does decide to let it go.  Of course I said yes!  I only ever had the Show Stable as a kid (which I finally am getting around to cleaning up, lol).

My question is this, though - obviously there are variants between international pony releases and the US releases, and I know there are differences between the US and European Show Stables.  Would a European Lullaby Nursery be different from a US one?

Also, what would be a fair price for it if she ends up letting it go?  I know there are price check estimates for ponies, but I don't know about playsets.  She says it's in good condition, mostly the usual dirt and fading.

Does it come with accessories or is it just the shell? Are all the stickers intact? :)

There is not really that much of a difference unfortunately. There was a nursery which was "made" (boxed) in West Germany which was sold in parts of Europe (not all countries just some). It only has some minor differences such as the rattle being alternative colours and the powder bottle missing its text but nothing major. The box itself is also slightly different on some of the Euro releases.

Do you know if the one your friend is selling is the one with the Germany differences or just the same as the US one?

Aren't the building blocks different as well? I know I've had two different types of building blocks. But Cat is right that the main differences are in the accessories rather than the shell.

Thanks, everyone! She actually showed me some photos - it looks great!  Price check, anyone? I don't want to totally rip her off if she decides to part with it.  :good:

I'd say $20 is fair.

The pink roof is faded...the glue has turned yellow...it doesn't come with many (or rare) accessories...the stickers are in really nice shape, though!

$20 may seem low to some, but if she were to sell it on eBay, she'd only walk away with $20 or less after the fees & postage.

Yes as ladyg says the building blocks are also flat printed rather than carved. However those building blocks also came with the later uk releases as well. They were not exclusive to the german made set.

Lullabye nursery is always popular. Only dream castle and the paradise estate are more popular and sometimes the pe is edged out.

I agree the set is pretty sparse. Its a shell with a small amount of the most easy to find accessories. 20 sounds good. But to be fair for just the lullabye shell you could pay less if you keep an eye on ebay.
