What Inspired You to Begin Collecting MLPs?

I've had ponies for as long as I can remember. I didnt play with anything else really, didnt care for dolls or anything. And ponies, I mostly just.. washed them. Over and over again.  But they were really imporant to me, especially Pina Colada and Baby Sapphire. They went everywhere with me. When I grew up, I remember throwing their accessories to trash (I literally remember throwing Baby Sapphire's ring to trash bin..) but I wanted to keep the ponies.

We were cleaning our attic when I found my old G1 ponies. I dont remember how, but somehow I ended up googling about them. I had no idea people collected ponies. I didnt even know ponies had names! When I found out how many different ponies there are, I thought to myself about how cool it would be to collect them all. Later I found the article about Sarah-Bee's collection, and I just knew I had to start collecting ponies. Later that day I bought myself a Peachy and Majesty. 

I sold all my fakies (like 20 of them) on fleamarket when I started collecting, it was "I dont need fakies!"-phase. Oh, how I regret that now..

As a little girl I had a very small collection of ponies.  I used to play with them in the pool and so only a few managed to survive over the years.  I kept up with the cartoon, but I didn't buy another pony until I saw Starcatcher.  She was the first pony I bought when I went to collage.  From there the collecting exploded and I got a lot of ponies.  I got G3's to start with and then got a ton of G1's.  When Friendship is Magic came out I happily started collecting and now I have quite the collection.  I just wish I could show it off more often.

Funny thing is Littlest Pet Shop is what got me collecting MLP. I found out about G2 LPS while looking up stuff about my childhood G1 LPS that I no longer had. I decided I wanted to collect them and from there it spread to collecting other toys I liked, including ponies. Thanks to places like here and Ghost of the Doll I learned about a lot of older toys that I also collect now.

I have my G1s from when I was a kid.  When I pulled them out to show my daughter and opened up the brochure, I realized I still want THEM ALL, lol.

I loved ponies when I was little but because they were so expensive I never owned a lot of them.  When I got my first computer I discovered an online auction site in my country that had ponies for sale!  Lol, the rest is history!  Who said you're only a kid once?
