G1-G4 resin and glitter Firefly

This resin and glitter Firefly was a commission for the lovely Galactica. My husband gets credit for making the blank pony and I haired and customized it. Painted in high quality acrylics, sealed with testor's gloss and haired with dollyhair. I hope you like her!

Thanks Saply! Everyone can be sure to see more things from us in the future, I am working on sculpting a g4 sea pony, we will have other pony molds coming, we have dye ordered to offer clear tinted ponies soon and who knows what else!

another cutie. Can I ask what kind of resin this is? Are you poking the plug holes individually/ can you do add plugs to make bangs. Is it hollow inside, does it use a standard neck plug?

Also I know you are not planning to offer these as baits because of the copyright issues but if I bought one and stripped it would you have a problem with that?

Just a clear casting resin. The mold material we use is so high quality it picks up even the smallest detail on the pony being used to make the mold. Since this happens you can actually see little indentations where each hair plug was on the pony. I use those as a guideline and put a pin in it to widen it and start a hole like I would with a normal custom then put my reroot tool in with hair. The catch here is you could not do this with a fully cured pony as it is very hard, I have to pull them from the mold after ten hours and do it while the head is still somewhat soft. When the resin cures and hardens completely it holds the hair quite nicely, so I have yet to use any glue which would be messy.
