Flocked Muffin and DJ?

When I read the thread title I thought it was flocked Funkos.

Can't decide if I want to start collecting these, I don't think I do.. I like that Pony though, flocked ones are interesting not a fan of DJ's pose, and the one out of the four I want the most is no longer available, so I think I will pass on these and just stick to funkos mainly, brushables second, blind bags third, and fashion style last. (since they don;t release new characters)

I've managed to resist these so far, but the flocked muffin pony is so cute !!!

I seriously just got the regular Bubblebutt figurine in the mail today, haha.
Decided to snatch her up while ordering those gorgeous pony tights and she is a lot cuter than I though she would be. >w<
BUT I am still freaked out over the Vinyl figurine, it just doesn't look right.

I think that Vinyl is supposed to be "break dancing"... Maybe?

Both Muffin and DJ are based on fan art pictures, not actual vectors from the show. So yes, their proportions and poses look a bit weird. They're going by the artists' representation of the characters.

That being said, I can't believe WeLoveFine got around their 'exclusive' offers by now offering the SAME EXACT figures but with flocking on them. Wow, lazy.

I'm fine with Vinyl-  she is break-dancing.   I don't think she looks any less like a pony than any of the other my little pony toys, lol.  The muffin one is way cuter though-

I agree that WeLoveFine is being pretty lazy too.  First they had a "limited edition" of 600.  That was great.  However, I guess they were so popular- they decided to print up a SECOND edition - promising that this would be the last print!   These sold so well that they got greedy and thought hey- lets throw some flocking on them and sell yet another set!  SO GREEDY!

I like me some flocked ponies- but I don't like that they marketed these figures as limited and they really aren't THAT limited if they can just crank out another edition.   

Still, they are cute- and I'll be the first one to admit that I missed out on the first run and was pretty happy to get in on the second run without paying a ton.   I'll also admit I'm looking forward to more figures- I love that they are using fan based art and turning the art into figures.  How cool would it be if that was your art come to life?  They do look pretty awesome...

Haha don't even think it. If they start flocking Funkos I think I'll just give up collecting them or go insane, I can pass on the sparkly ones but flocked ponies are too adorable to resist!

As to the general WLF laziness...this seems to be the general way they operate. Just be honest and offer the items for sale - they will still sell for goodness sake and you wont be judged as being cheeky and a little light on the truth with your promotions! Grrrrr

I have very mixed feelings over this flocked edition.  I think the re-release of the unflocked version bothered me more than I realized.

I know that I will not be going to any great lengths if WeLoveFine releases new figures in the future.  Limited isn't exactly limited, right?

I'm trying to make a somewhat complete collection of Muffin Pony, but I really can't bring myself to buy the flocked version of this figurine. If it was a new pose and sculpt, I'd be all over it, but it isn't, so I really don't want to buy another shirt that I wasn't going to buy anyway just for the privilege of purchasing this "new" figurine. :-/

Vinyl's pose creeps me out as well! The shirt art that it's based on looks great, but it does make for an awkward 3D figurine.

I love that flocked Muffins, but to get that plus the main item I want from WeLoveFine would be way more than I should spend right now!
