Totally not a one-line introduction!

Hey folks!

So I finally took the plunge and decided to join one of these fancy MLP forums.

I discovered MLPArena through a good real life friend of mine, who amazed me with her extensive G1 Pony collection.

Like many others, I became interested in MLP through FiM mainly because I work in a store that sells tons of pop culture merchandise as well as have events for various games. A few years back we started hearing rumblings of My Little Pony becoming popular, so I investigated and was hooked.

Now I have begun expanding my interest beyond G4 and further into the community at the same time.

So about me...

I am 30 years old, enjoy MLP with my wife and 4-year old son (he loves Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash) as well as quite a few of my friends.

Currently, most of my collection consists of G4 ponies, various blind bag purchases, and a couple gifts from friends.
The prizes of my pony collection at the moment are  my "Doctor Whooves" shirts, since I am a huge Doctor Who fan.

I have considered starting to track down 3.5 ponies simply because they are so unusual looking, and they seem more affordable than the old ponies from the 80's.

I always wanted to collect ponies, even as a child in the 80's, since my niece (a couple years younger than myself) was a huge collector, and I was always jealous that her ponies and barbies had tons of accessories. Meanwhile my Ghostbusters sat lonely in their firehouse with nary a bench to sit on.
Ponies seemed to have (in my immature mind) so much more to do than ghostbusters did.

Now I collect them as a side hobby from running gaming events and maintaining Gremlins Online, my Gremlins webpage.
So that is about that.
I would love to chat with anyone, get to know more people, and see what the community is like away from tall the drama!

What an interesting introduction. I am an 80s child so I grew up with both Gremlins and Ghostbusters (as well as ponies of course).  I have a few plastic gremlins figurines on my shelf.

I am sure you will fit right in here and enjoy meeting lots of other pony fans

Actually I have recently been looking into the options for 1:1 scale Styrene board ponies and the associated costs.

The first project will likely be Scootaloo, since she is quite small and easily done....

My wife actually was a fan as a child, but now she really has a hard time watching G1 and similar, but  FiM has rekindled her love of ponies, which is a great thing we can enjoy together.

Glad to meet you!  Fun to hear your whole family enjoys ponies.  My three kids and wife also enjoy ponies right along with me too.

Go for collecting G3.5! I collect all gens myself.  Any pony is a good pony!  Did you know that G3.5 "Ponyville" accessories, clothes, shoes, etc, fit the G4 blind bag size?  We bought a whole bunch for ours and it's lotsa fun.
