New Pony Addict

Hi all 

A few of you may know of me already as I attended the UK Ponycon this year with my 'other half' - Clarabel Sapphire.

Yes I'm afraid the pony-bug has bit me, helped along by the Convention and the excellent cartoons currently airing on Sky (always been a sucker for a good cartoon), not to mention being surrounded by Clare's ponies! I only went to Ponycon as moral support, dressing up as "Trucker" (aka "4-speed") to reflect my current job, in the absence of an Accountancy job at the moment.

Whilst there I found some ponies for sale I liked the look of, which turned out to be Merry-Go-Round ponies. Bought four on the day, one on Ebay since, and hopefully the last one of the set is slowly making its way here by boat from Australia!

Yesterday however I could resist the temptation no longer - I went into Build-a-Bear and bought a Fluttershy for myself, complete with her distinctive voice and a lovely cupcake scent. Here she is safely belted in for the journey home ...

I saw you both in Ponycon but I wasn't dressed up, I thought it was fantastic that you'd joined in with Clare dressing up  I don't know many guys who would do that.

My adorable pinkie pie loving fiance would have been persuaded to wear a Pinkie Pie wig but there wasn't time for us to get anything together.

Glad you got the bug, my guy has a couple of blind bag pinkie's and a regular pinkie. That's all right now, he's more into Bad Taste Bears himself but happily accepts my pony and monster high madness.

It was a bit last minute with us too, plus Clare was unaware I was dressing up until we were ready to leave the car park    I'm not usually one for dressing up but I just thought "what the hell" - I'm working on a better costume for PonyCon 2014 already 

Clare takes an active interest in my model railways, so much in fact that I couldn't have got enough done to take it to its first exhibition and hence get 2nd place in a competition without her help. So it's only fair I at least take an interest in her MLP obsession, it just happens that I'm finding it fun too - watching the cartoons and seeing all the different ponies. All the nice friendly people on here help too
