I knew about the "My Beautiful Baby Pony" offer b/c I believe the form came w/ Cotton Candy, who was my first pony. I was sad b/c I didn't have any horseshoe points (CC's backcard got thrown away, and that was only one anyway). I like lavender body/pink hair Ember b/c of the TV special. After that I like pink body w/ purple hair. A friend of mine had that one when we were young.

Ember was the first baby pony that Hasbro made. She was also the first pony that Hasbro offered via a Mail Order offer, in 1984. Also known as "Beautiful Baby Pony".

Lavender Ember appeared in the first animated My Little Pony Special (aka "Rescue at Midnight Castle"/"Firefly's Adventure").

I need a reminder. Can anyone post pics of the different versions? Then I can vote.

Thanks for the photo, prancingstag! I don't have any versions so a reminder was welcome. It was a tough choice between the blue one and the lavender (RaMC) one, and I like the star-symboled one a lot, too! The blue one got my vote this time. They are all very pretty though!

White star Ember was the only Ember sold in stores and she came with a cassette tape that had the story on it that Lady Moondancer posted.

Did you receive a color randomly when you ordered..? G1 was before my time so I'm still learning, especially with the mail order ponies.   

I just randomly got a pink one (I think). Did they have check marks on the order form for which one you wanted? Does anyone have a scan/pic of the order form?

EDIT: They have a scan on MLWiki. Maybe that's why I was so disappointed. I think I checked the purple one and they sent me the pink one.

 RaMC Ember is my favorite too. Probably because that's how I also met her. Although I do have the blue version too. I use to say that one was Ember by day and the other Ember at night.

I'm partial to blue on blue. They're all cute, but blue Ember is truly lovely.
