Army Ponies - How did you decide?

Ours started after watching a Very Minty Christmas DVD.  Plus she is green.  Plus she loves socks and is just such a fun pony personality wise.  We also love the G1 Minty but do not have as many variations of her as they are harder to get.

Sundance & Megan were accidental; I needed models for the Megan & Sundance pony wear, and then once I had enough for that I just could not stop and more Megans & Sundances keep making their way here.

My Baby Fifi, Baby TTT and Baby Quackers armies are smaller but deliberate - because I love the pose and I love FT ponies so I collect them because they are all so cute!

Weirdly enough, I didn't pick mine.  I had a friend that kept getting me Pinkie Pies.... Then I looked at some G3's I'd had sitting on a shelf forever and realized it was a Pinkie Pie!  After that, I felt a bit compelled to collect her, and keep getting blind bag Pinkies by chance...  Now I keep adding, since she's really grown on me...

I have an accidental TAF night glider army... I really like the pose and somehow have come across 3 of her. My only purposeful army is brightglow. I had her as a kid and love gitd ponies so now I have 4! My armies aren't super big...

Well I think they found me I Love Wingers! And green is my favorite color so I'd get coolbreeze's in lots and just couldn't part with her or really any winger for that matter. Wingers are the expection to my "no more than one" rule. They are so cute and sweet looking!

I was kinda starting a Parasol Army awhile ago but didn't get to far with it. I like the rainbow hairs ponies and the shy pose  so that's why I went with her. But after digging some ponies out of storage and looking at them I decided that Skyflier was a really cool pony with her pose, peachy color and bright hair. In the last month or so I  have collected about 15 Skyfliers. I also have a bit of  G4 AJ army. I keep finding her at thrift stores, a few brushables and a lot of the Mcdonalds ones.

My small Posey army started off unintentionally. I had a Posey from childhood, her hair has faded to pink except a streak in her tail and her flowers are white too. I thought it'd be fun to have a really pink haired Posey and picked one up. Then I saw the most adorable custom G4 Posey by Saply who had thermal color changing hair and I HAD to have her. I then decided I had the makings of a Posey army and bought a Spain and So Soft Posey. I don't think I'd buy anymore regular Poseys though just Nirvana variants (if I can afford) and customs.

I give homes to sad looking wingers, and I have amassed a large army.  Summer/Windy/Argie wings are my favorite ponies and I adore them to bits!

I very deliberately just started an army. I picked Posey, my accidental favourite, and built from 1 to 2 to 5 to 20+ on their way to me right now... I just love her so much but I don't know why!

My deliberate armies are Peachy and Starflower, the rest are all accidental whether it be because of winning a couple in different lots or by being given another of one.

Starflower is goregeous, and Peachy is adorable. I will one day have a Gusty army coz she's the bomb!

Some ponies are so good you just have to have more of them  well I do anyway

I never was much of an army kind of collector and never really saw the appeal until I got my own mini army unintentionally...

I came across a great deal on an auction for 2 nm condition UK Baby Honeycombs and decided to grab them. I already had a UK Honeycomb and UK Baby Honeycomb so I was going to use one for a prize choice on the MLP Talk Show I was cohosting at the time. The other was going to be reserved for trading. Turned out, the winner of our contest chose the MIB Fair Pony instead of the UK Baby Honeycomb and I had no trade in the works for the other.

That left me with 3 Baby Honeycombs and a mama Honeycomb. I was going to sell/trade the extras until I put them all together and realized I had my very own BEEHIVE.

Yep, that did it, just the thought of having a Beehive made my insides so happy I knew I was never going to part with my bees

I will happily add to the hive if I come across more needing a home.

My armies are g1 Apple Jack and Flutterbye..

As a kid I loved apple jack, and could never get enough of her in the cartoon.. and flutterbye,  saw her in the MO catalog, and wanted her so bad.. So it's the kind of thing to me when I find them I always have to keep them. I Don't know what the exact purpose of it is. but they are awesome..

I have half of My AJ army sitting on my desk now and the rest are at my moms house.. 16 counted here.. I know I have atleast 30 or maybe more! AHH! lol
