I used to demand to go see them first every year when I was young. Even though they weren't near the start of the run through of the lights. So many memories of the illuminations.
I don't live too far from Blackpool so I headed down to see them in person It was really cool, the big ones are huge and I got to see one of two of the big tableaus - that was unbelievably huge! Some were on display, others were in a warehouse. Interesting to note - there is a unicorn Baby Cuddles and an earth Baby Ribbon. I'm not sure who the baby pony is next to Baby Shady - Baby Magic Star? The Princesses has nice details such as strands in their hair lit up like tinsel and their symbols lit up too. The eyes of the Twinkle Eyes lit up too, obviously! Pricewise, I was told the adult ponies were $600, the babies $300, Baby Tiddley-Winks was $150 as she was a bit smaller, Pookiepup correct me if I'm wrong on that! Prickles the dragon was also $150, and I was tempted as he was the smallest and could be stored in a collection easily. Overall I thought the prices weren't too bad for collectors, and local delivery was $80. The woman who went into the warehouse before me bought Baby Shady and Baby Magic Star (?), the guide told me she is a Brownie leader (young girl scouts) and that she is going to keep it in her house and invite the girls round to see it, which i thought was really sweet. Erm, I think that's all the info, onto the pics!
