The way I heard the story was that Kenner started designing a horse toy line before they were bought by Hasbro, who saw what they had already started and decided to go with it. I could totally be wrong though, that's just how I remember hearing it. :wonder:

I think it's because what we now consider G2 wasn't really considered "real" mlp by hasbro at the time. All the designing and stuff was done by Kenner, it just so happened that Hasbro bought Kenner out and decided to slap the mlp branding onto it. G3 was probably treated as the proper franchise reboot internally. Which would also help to explain why Hasbro usually forgets about G2 even now.

The form said at the top that your email would not be recorded, so the data was anonymous. I remember checking for that first thing when I took it. And there weren't any particularly identifying questions in the survey to be concerned about in this case.

Got done with a film shoot pretty late last night, at about 1 in the morning. I was taking a couple other crew members home and we decided to get McDonald's on the way back. None of us really knew the area though so we just had google tell us where to go. We ended up driving down this completely unlit creepy back road, and then passed by what I'm 99% sure was a prison?? For a second we wondered if we were actually going to a mcdonald's but it was only a few corners away. I know this probably sounds weird, but that's one of the best moments of my life in recent memory. Driving at 2 am with people I consider my friends to get a big mac and fries and accidentally making a little adventure out of it. It was just. Nice.

I had horrible anxiety and depression issues since middle school, and something about having a really mundane but nice moment like this made me really emotional.

Hey everyone! I'm working on a little project involving all the different official pony art styles, and I've come across a bit of a problem: there are a lot.

Some of them are so similar that I wonder if they should even count as a separate art style. Like, is the G2 box art different enough from the G2 comics to be considered different? What about the g3 box art and the early g3 specials? All the different styles used in G1? Should the g3 pixel art video games count?!

Here's my list so far. What do people think? Any art styles that I'm forgetting or that should be combined into one?

And what are people's favourites? I've recently become fond of the g4 manga style, it's just so cute!

Early G1 box art
Mid G1 box art (similar to early box art but a bit smoother and more refined)
Later G1 box art (Family Friends, Hair-Do ponies, etc.)

One of my favourite G1 ponies, both because of her design and for cartoon nostalgia reasons. I have an original one with half an ear (looks like a dog got to her, poor thing) and a bf one.
