Hi! I am a recent MLP convert.. despite being 28 years old. They were around when I was a kid, but we didn't have TV to indoctrinate me with commercials, and my family could not afford the ponies. I got cheaper toys. Fine by me.. I didn't know the difference. But my first brush with MLP was when a similar aged friends brought her ponies to school. I thought they were wonderful, but I knew I couldn't get any myself, so I let it go.
Fast forward.... I am 28, have a 2 (now 3) who started watching MLP Friendship is Magic on her Nabi. Something I would have previously thought was corny. I started playing it on our big screen computer (We still don't have TV... too many commercials). When I was at work, my husband played it for her too. (He is now officially a Brony). Yes... the show is infectious. Her favorite is "Appagack". My husband told me which pony I was most like before I even had a chance to watch the show (Fluttershy).
So... Now we are all pony fans. I think it has even caught to my mom (Nurse Redheart) and sis (Pinkie Pie).. as they both love those characters AND the show now. I make my own MLP jewelry now and sell it, but my main function of stalking this board is to find new "Appagack" products. Hopefully affordable plushies for my lil' pony fan :-) Would love to meet people here too!
