Two new custom girls - “Black Ice” and “Daisy”

Hi all! Finished two new girls yesterday.

First is “Black Ice” - the diva pose is one of my absolute favourites and I just love how this girl turned out! She got a black FBR with silver pearl highlights and I repainted her eyes in shades of blue and turquoise. I hand dyed her hair using black and turquoise Rit dye - half was dyed on the ends and half was dyed in the middle of the hank so that her hair alternates between being darker at the roots and darker at the ends. I also added some metallic white to lighten it up. Then I decorated her with turquoise and clear crystals.

Next is “Daisy”, my first G4 in a long time, a Lyra that was in pretty rough shape. I managed to get her cleaned up and rehaired her in Poison Ivy, Envy and Starlight. I redid her eyes using watercolor pencils and acrylic paints and decorated her with tiny white plastic flowers.

Normally I don’t use G4s but I’ve recently organized all my baits and realized that I have a lot of them so I’ve prepared a bunch and you can expect to see more!

Oh, Black Ice!  A very beautiful pony with a beautiful name too!   I love the diva pose and it fits this pony perfectly! The coloring of the body is wonderfully smooth and matte.

Daisy has really great hair! Like a spring fairy!

Aaaah they're both so pretty! Black Ice is really elegant but I think I'm partial to the green one

Gosh, but these girls are just gorgeous!! I love the idea of alternating the gradients from the base to the root on Black Ice ... what a stunning girl! They're both really lovely, and I can totally understand how you feel with the G4 baits overrunning the bait box! Great job!

Thank you so much!  Yeah I’ve got a lineup of prepped G4s on my work bench staring at me right now - must resist the takeover!!!

Beautiful work! G4 customs usually don't appeal to me as much as earlier generation customs due to the style, but Daisy is lovely. I adore the use of the flowers!

TheClassCalico: I hear you on the G4s…I didn’t really like them for a long time but I would still buy them for baits because I’d think to myself “I’ll regret it if I leave them here”. Now that I’ve grown to appreciate them I’m glad I picked up the ones that I did!
