Teddy Tank? What the...

Okay, so, yeah this isn't an adequate fishbowl.  Just saw it on TV.  Granted, they give other idea on how to use these...but to advertise it as a fish tank? No.  Just no.

Yes that commercial infuriates me every time I see it.

On a side note, they really need to quit turning everything into a stuffed animal. Stuffed animals are fine as just stuffed animals.

Well, I'd like to see a stuffed animal that eats other stuffed animals...glows in the dark...turns into a pillow...stretches...and can be worn as a fursuit. :)

Size wise it seems ok for one small fish, but feeding it through the mouth?!? Dirty! And I wonder how much ventilation the fish are getting. Might be cute to get the unicorn and set up a sea pony display.

Does anyone else think the animals look like they have really bad gas?

That's a good idea as a storage facility but it's disgusting that they're advertising it as a place to keep a fish. It's far too small and pets shouldn't be associated with toys.

terrible, but not surprising.  they've marketed fish tanks not even half the size of those bowls with various characters on the outside.   i wonder how you're supposed to play with the stuffed animal at all without spilling the water?

It's a terrible thing to keep fish in. It makes me think of something else advertised with the "keep pet fish in it" gimmick and people were just as furious about that as this one. I wish I could remember what it was. >_<

In some progressive countries, tanks this small are banned or considered animal cruelty. I wish it was like that everywhere. I bet after a few fish the parents who buy this will get sick of replacing them though.

I'm glad to know that fish welfare has been taken into consideration in some parts of the world.

I would be more worried about mould from the water getting into tge stuffed toy, that would be pretty gross within a matter of weeks. A bowl that size should really only ever have a siamese fighting fish in it, goldfish need more room. I have a 1 1/2 foot tank for six goldfish and thinking its time to get a bigger tank or another one to split a few of them up. They grow quickly when in the right environment and need space.

These would be a cute storage concept, but definitely not a good place to keep a live pet (especially with water involved, and an abundance of water at that!).

Glad I'm not the only one upset at this!

It doesn't look like a suitable place for fish and the stuffed animal mouth seems impractical for food since it would get all gross.
They should've designed it more as a toy than a pet house. Thankfully they do advertise alternate uses but the "designed as a fish bowl" thing doesn't sound like it would be that good of a toy (something to carry, securely hold stuff, take places, etc.)
Kind of like http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/secretkeepins.htm

o_O WHY?
I mean really?
maybe they thought kids would be more eager to feed their pet fish if its home was shaped like a stuffed animal? instead of just... i dunno teaching your kids that having a pet is an actual responsibility.
I know a lot of people think fish are kinda a "joke" pet, like they arnt really a big deal? But I hate seeing tiny fishbowls. I know I don't actually know what its like to be a fish, but i cant imagine that living in a tiny little bowl like that would be great fun. I just picture myself being locked in my own bathroom for my entire life and never being let out.

Besides how exactly are the kids supposed to PLAY with that, without compromising the life of the fish at the same time...
like other people suggested, cute for storage ideas i guess, but please dont put animals in there...

That is...the most ridiculous concept I have seen in some time!  Although for storing toys it is kind of cute, but for live fish?!  I feel like no good can come of that  >_<
