I found a G1 advent calendar in the attic yesterday. Weird coincidence. I actually found a G2 one too but it had gone mouldy and had to be thrown away. The G1 one is intact, though, except for one missing door (no chocolate thankfully!)

I can't remember if it was from my childhood or not but it doesn't seem the sort of thing you would get from a carboot sale, so I imagine it probably was...

Oh Taff, I wonder if that's the same one I had when I was a kid! It would have been around 1988 and the only chocolate one I had when I was a child.

I've seen a few different UK ones (non-chocolate), but I only have one, and I don't seem to have a pic (also not sure where I stored it!). However by list refers to it as Advent calendar (1986, with Bubbles, Blossom, Cotton Candy, Applejack, Bowtie, Seashell)

Behind the little doors are little generic illustrations of Christmas toys and treats, a sleigh and such. Each door also has parts of a story, not all doors were really open already so I didn't read it.
