Benzoyl Peroxide on a Doll Face?
« on: April 06, 2015, 03:51:05 PM »
Found a first edition DS 12" Flynn Rider at Goodwill and omgjustcouldn'tleavehimbehind!  *breathes*

The thing is...he has a blue dot of ink/marker at the tip of his nose.

Will using 10% benzoyl peroxide cause the plastic to completely bleach out, or is it safe on flesh-colored vinyl?

I can't help you with the original question unfortunately, as I have yet to dare try benzoyl peroxide out, but... that hand!
That hand, Flynn. I see what you're aiming at there.  :shifty: :haha:

Poor Flynn.

I think it might work, as it is recommended for removing stains on vinyl dolls, but I do think there is a risk of bleaching.  Still, it might be better than a blue dot.

I've actually had good luck with rubbing alchohol on Barbies with spots like that. Though I'm not familiar with the Disney Store dolls... Are their heads made of different material than a Barbie's head?

Benzoyl peroxide wil lbleach that for sure! =X maybe acetone-free nail polish remover will do the trick? Unless its a serious stain on a white toy i would stay away from benzoyl peroxide. You could paint over it! Would magic eraser work?

I tried the Magic Eraser & acetone - not budging!

I'll try rubbing alcohol...and maybe sunfading...
