Nirvana Gallery Update.
« on: July 14, 2022, 01:22:05 PM »
Hi ponies,

I updated the Nirvana Gallery tonight, it is the first update in a little while I have added some new ponies to the Venezuela section (thank you wizzer218) and added the Nirvana Spotlight on Greek Ponies.

https://pinkkittywinks.wixsite.com/mlparenagallery

I still need to add a couple of spotlights to the website :)

Please take a look and make sure you add it to your favourites.

Awesome! This is really good :)

I just spotted one thing; it says in «other releases» that baby ponies such as baby Glory, baby Moondancer etc were sold on card in Europe. And that those ponies had non-glittery symbols. I have a childhood Baby Glory bought on card, but WITH glittery symbols. The carded babies also had glitter symbols, but not all of them.

I am glad you enjoy the gallery

oooh! Your Baby Glory had glitter symbols? What are her hoof marks and where are you located (well, at the time when you got her) :D

Also do you know which other babies that has painted symbols were also sold with glitter symbols, but were sold carded?

I wanted to add those sets and ponies in the "other releases" section in to the gallery, as there are some common misconceptions about them still.

I have a feeling I have discussed these babies with you before katrine2309.

We might have discussed them before  I am super interested in release history (such a nerd )

She is HK :) I remember buying her in store, so I’m very sure about her. Plus, I never had her accessories other than her random bottle. I also had baby Firefly, also HK with glittery symbols. I was young when I got her. Maybe between 4 and 5, so I don’t remember her card. But only had bottle for her too, never the accessories so I am fairly sure she also came on card. I’m in Norway, and I remember the baby ponies on card for a long time in store. I think it was baby ponies from the first baby set- but I can’t be 100% on that. They were probably sold around 1986-1988? Not sure though, that is just a wild guess based on what remember.

Thank you so much for your reply :) I will update the gallery to say glittery versions were sold in Norway carded (Firefly and Glory)

If it was carded then it would be the "first" Babies (Firefly, Surprise, Moondancer, Glory, CC and Blossom)

Does she have the PAT PEND  stamp? That might be a clue as to her release date since everything after about 1987-1989 does not have a PAT PEND stamp :)

Taffeta might know a little bit more about this maybe?

I’ll check her tomorrow! And Firefly ;)

I know she was sold around the same time as the Play and Care babies (Gusty, Ribbon, Lickety etc). My sister had just received baby Gusty and I was jealous so when I got the chance to get a baby unicorn I grabbed it (literally  ). I don’t think the first set of baby ponies would have been in sale anymore at this time as boxed versions (but we did have the box version as well!).

Edit: I just checked both babies, and they have pat pend under their hooves. The same with my baby Ribbon (play and care version). However, baby Buttons did not. I also have the non-glittery version of baby Glory and baby Moondancer. I’ll check on them later. I don’t have them with me right now ;)

Thank you for getting back to me with the hoof marks :bigups:

I'm still hoping Taffeta might see this thread.

I haven't had much time to read up and refresh my memory on this set due to being unwell.

I have both baby Firefly and bany Moondancer on Belgian cards, with glitter symbols. Both pat pend.  Card states US pat pend 1985, but not sure if that is the release date.
I'm pretty sure we had the carded version here in Sweden as well, with glitter symbols. I have seen the same cards, but with danish text, and another with type with english text as well. (I think we had the one with english text)
Wanted: MOC Geman baby Lemon Drop, MIB baby Lemon Drop with purple stroller, MOC Rainbow Confetti, MOC Euro(NSS) Buttons, ,  and UK carded rainbow ponies.
