Lily Blossom: Rare or what?

I bought my Lily Blossom when she first came out, along with some Blind Bag ponies from Germany. She was ~4 EU. So I happily deboxed her and she has been on my shelves. Recently I saw her MIB going for as much as £17.00, which seemed a bit nuts...

I saw one MIB in WHSmiths here, for a whackingly overpriced £9.99, and despite that I still picked her up because what I am seeing is that her single release is 'rare' now. Has this been the case? I realise she's going to be released again with AJ as a twin pack, so I am keeping this one MIB indefinitely.

I don't know that she is really HTF, but with the new influx of G4 collectors who missed out on her (maybe they were not collecting when she was on the shelves) she has become fairly sought after.

She is hard to find right now, but I wouldn't say rare.

I had a bit of trouble finding mine.  I got her at a CVS (for nine dollars, grrrrr) back in late winter/early spring.  I can't recall if I've ever seen her in a Walmart, and I've certainly never seen her in a Dollar General, although I've been to many and bought many g4s from those stores.

I got mine in a lot of g4s someone sold me for cheap and now I keep noticing that everyone wants her

I have noticed the crazy prices also! And I will certainly take a look in WHSmith and if I see any I'll grab them.

I got mine in a lot of g4's off ebay a while back.
I don't think I've ever seen her in stores.

I think she's a little harder to find because she was more common overseas. She was in the very early waves of singles here in the US, so I missed out on her and bought her later from a member. I don't think I would say she's rare though. eBay prices have beens super crazy lately, I think a lot of people are jumping on the bandwagon of classifying harder to find (or not) items as "rare" and selling them at rediculous prices.

Same thing happened with Kimono (and the original Star Catcher).  People were afraid she wouldn't be rereleased and her price soared.  Then she came out again, and it bottomed out.

How do you know there's a 2 pack coming soon? I checked the "coming soon" thread and it's there, but listed as a 2011 release.

I found here rare myself. You know I actually have a theory about Lilly Blossom. I think a TON of them were bought and customized into a certain grey pegasus with bubbles on her keister. It was pretty easy, she has the same body color (kinda) and same hair color so it was easy for a lot of beginners to dip their toe in the customization waters and get a sweet ditsy-doo custom by just repainting her eyes and symbol.

I'm not innocent either! her body color is so unique I hinted an extra Lilly to customize into a vampony myself.

I'll be honest - I bought her with the intent to customize into bubbly grey pegasus!  But I never got around to it, and then the SDCC one came out... and Lily kind of grew on me.  On my pony shelf, she's hanging out with Dewdrop Dazzle in a nice shady spot (so DD's hair doesn't fade out).
