Hi, everyone! It's been a while since I've been on the Arena - last time I was here, I changed my username to ghouldilocks, but I used to be here as clawleen meowlen and as bookwyrm. I've been collecting MLP as an adult off and on ever since G3 came out, but my interest is mostly in G1, since that's what I had as a kid. Luckily, my parents are low-key hoarders, so i still have a fair number of my childhood herd. I started a collection catablog, The Rainbow Stable, but it's been on a hiatus since I have other things going on and I need to only focus on one large project at a time, lol. Excited to be back here and get a vicarious pony fix until I get to a point where I can dive back into the hobby side of things.

The few threads about where to find ponies other than here and eBay got me curious. What is the weirdest place you've either ever found a pony, or the weirdest place you've gone to get ponies? Probably the weirdest for me was when I made a deal for a bag of ponies on an app, and picked them up at the bar where the lady worked. We definitely had some sidelong glances from the day-drinking regulars

Sorry I'm splitting these up! The first was just so pic-heavy, I didn't want to make it too massive, so here's a second. It seems to be totally complete! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThennnn, I scored this baby on Facebook Marketplace for $150 - it's mostly complete, just missing some small accessories! I never thought I'd get the Paradise Estate, just because I'd only ever seen it for sale online/not local, and the shipping is always pretty daunting. Another absolutely insane stroke of luck was scoring the lavender Dream Castle on a secondhand sales app for only $10!! Of course it's still great finding these things online when you can justify the cost, but it feels so much more special to me to find them this way. There were some other ponies there, also, but I had limited cash, so I just picked up these few. So it's been quite a while since I've been on here properly - my desktop computer hasn't worked in absolute ages, and I can't afford a new computer just yet. I've moved in with my boyfriend, though, and can use his laptop for now, lol. Anyway, it's been a busy year - I couldn't believe the last time I posted anything new to my collection was before Christmas of 2016!   Needless to say, even though I've been mostly away from the forum since then, I wasn't really on a hiatus from collecting, so I have a lot I want to share with you guys! I got a letter from my niece the other day - she's 6, and is lately interested in practicing writing. So when I was pony hunting not long ago at thrift and antique shops, I got really lucky and also found loads of Lalaloopsy dolls in really great condition for $5 and less. One of them was this small mermaid doll who was in a bag of things for $1.41. My niece and nephews LOVE Lalaloopsy, so I got all of them that I found, but when I got them home, this mermaid sounds like she has water inside her. Seems she was used as a bath or pool toy, lol. My instinct is to take her head off so I can drain her and let her properly dry, but I don't want to ruin her. Can the heads on these dolls be removed and put back on again easily, like we do with ponies? Has anyone else had this kind of issue before? Any suggestions for the best way to go about this is appreciated - I don't want to send a water-logged, mildewy mermaid to my sister's kids visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Came across a great lot on an app last night and picked it up today - just $35! Ended up with 5 new ponies for myself and my first My Little Kitty, 5 new ponies for my sister and a pony friend, and two new "foster" ponies. There are also some ponywear and accessories! The most recent additions to my Italian herd came a few days ago, but I didn't get around to making a post until just now, since I was taking inventory of all my extra ponies, lol. Anyway! In a previous post, I showed off my lovely new Pinwheel, but then Bow Tie and Lemon Drop arrived safe and sound all the way from Germany (thanks again, BerryMouse!) This week has been #blessed pony-wise! I've never really been so interested in FiM plush, but I was out with my parents last weekend, and one store had a couple of Princess Lunas by Ty! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a Celestia, but so far haven't seen her. visitors can't see pics , please register or login(more ponies below the cut!) Spoiler Other G4 finds - FINALLY some pearlies! They also had a G3 Scootaloo, but I didn't want to buy an entire bag of random junk just to get her, lol. I moved the bag so she'd be readily visible to any kids who might like her, though. I never had any variations of Ember, and now I have two (I can't believe I'd forgotten that I already had the Ember's Dream Ember! The Nightmare Night set of the Golden Oak Library was $14.99 instead of $19.99, for example - I'm struggling with whether or not I "need" it, lol. When I was at the thrift and antique shops, I also ended up with a few Lala Loopsy dolls - like full size dolls, for $3-5 each, but in great condition with their clothes and everything! My niece and nephews love those, so I got ones that they don't have already. Annnnd I picked up a couple surprise items for my sister (won't be sharing them here, since she's a member haha)

So I have done a bit of pre-birthday pony questing, and have been really lucky! Since everyone has been talking about Hastings going out of business, I went to the one near-ish me, and picked up a couple of things for just $6 total! They also had some Harry Potter water bottles on clearance (only Gryffindor and this one Slytherin...sadly, no Ravenclaw). I got a storage drawer for my pony cabinet today, and organizing got me curious - who else has a dedicated pony spa/restoration "kit"? What's in yours? I like the strawberry scent for the Sweetberry ponies, and I want to get coconut or something for all tropical-themed ponies. Debating getting some type of ocean-themed scent for nautical ponies, if I can find one that seems right, and I like the apple for everyone else, because...well...ponies! I know that is crazy talk, since the scent from the soap and conditioner eventually fades, but what can I say? I'm a crazy person.
