Farewell James Horner :(

I'm so saddened to hear about the loss of James Horner this morning.

He was an amazing composer, conductor and orchestrator. He wrote many beautiful film scores through the years that moved me and inspired my love for soundtrack music since I was little. Seeing his name in the credits of films always delighted me.

A few of my particular favourite pieces of his include:
The opening theme to An American Tail
"Heritage of the Wolf" from Balto (the music during the white wolf scene)
The theme to A Beautiful Mind (which is also my favourite piece to play on the piano)
And of course Titanic, and many, many others

So long Mr. Horner, thank you for all you've contributed.

Very sad news to wake up to this morning. =( I really loved his score from Titanic.

I read about this last night after I got home from work (technically this morning) & went to bed bummed. He was not my favorite Hollywood composer but always right up there & so, so prolific. RIP, sir, & may your music sweeten our hearts forever!

I heard about this last night from my bro and both of us just sorta sat in stunned silence after finding out. I loved his much so much and I am sad to know that he's now done composing on earth.

I think his Braveheart soundtrack will always be my favourite.

Very sad. He was one of my favorites. He had a wonderful way with music. I hope he continues his music in heaven.
