A story about a girl and her pony!
« on: February 15, 2012, 01:16:46 PM »
Once upon a time, in 1987, there was a 5 year-old little girl who loved green things. Her favorite toy aside from Care Bears and Rainbow Brite was My Little Pony! There were two ponies in her collection which she adored because of their beautiful green colors, Gusty and Mimic. She used to take them everywhere with her, play with their hair and admire their beautiful dazzling green color!

A few years later, the little girl got a bit older, and her mother told her that she needed to get rid of her favorite toys.  If she sold them in the garage sale they were holding, she could use that money to buy new toys!  She thought it was a good idea.  She rummaged through her Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony toybox that her father painted for her as a little girl and pulled out her beloved Mimic.  "I don't really play with her anymore, so I guess I'll sell her."

She watched as another little girl took her Mimic away...

Many many years later... the little girl was all grown up. Many of her friends were into the newest pony series. So she decided to have a look. It brought back instant nostalgia.  The little girl all grown up was determined to find the names of her childhood ponies and gather them up once again.

While browsing through the land of Dream Valley, she discovered the names of the ponies she loved the most as a little girl.  Instantly, she checked the evil land of Ebay to buy them and recoiled at the price of one!  Although she could not afford Mimic. However, she decided to be patient! Little by little, she saved up in order to buy that pony. Her collection grew and she gathered up many of her favorite other ponies in the meantime.

Then one day not so very long ago, she found her on Ebay! It was going for the most she was willing to spend, plus free shipping.  Begging her husband, who sighed and caved in, she clicked the shiny BIN button.

Three days later, she arrived in her mailbox.

I love how you wrote the story ^.^
I got a little bit sad when you wrote how she saw a other girl walking away with her mimic. I was like 'grap it back and run!' XD
Congrats with getting her back again! Her hair looks amazing and so bright!

Awww that is such a heartwarming story! I've never had that feeling: When you had something you loved when you were a child, lose it, then get it back when you're all grown up. But wow that is wonderful to hear about stories like these.
