That is so awful.  Though if they  have a nice body and another bird has a bad body and nice hair maybe they can be mixed to make a more perfect bird?  Just trying to look on the bright side.  Most sellers don't know because MLP tails are usually so much shorter- now a completely missing tail is something totally different.  The Fuzzy Tummy is worth a rehair ..amazing to find that one!

The foot piece could be replaced easily from a less valuable matching pink bird..I think $7 if the fan is in good condition.  They are hard to find..I think I paid like $30 once for a fan tail (now I know it is a little too much) but they are really hard to find in good condition.  My Flutter Tails is also made in Macau so no nirvana I am afraid :(

I have some original Fairy Tail ribbons but no MLP original ribbons.  Someone else suggested they are more shiny(satin)  than the completely matte MLP original ribbons..but just making sure.  The FTBs seem more shiny on one side..are mlp ribbons not shiny on either side?  They share so much in common (hair, names, bow barettes) you would think they would share ribbons.

This is sorta on topic but move if need be.

Are the MLP regular Gen 1 ribbons the same as or different than EDIT(fairy tail bird)  ribbons.  I know they are the same size but are they the same material?

Please let me know as soon as possible.  There are 2 that would be the correct color for sale but I want them to be the correct ribbon material.
Thanks so much!

Okay I did some research and the bird pictured here... http://p.etal.tripod.com/fttropicals.htm  has the same blue hair front tuft so I would conclude it is a rare variant.  congrats on the amazing find!

Also notice Sunny Tails pictured has an all green tuft which I would assume would be another variant

Off Topic / Fairy tail bird expert help! stand colors
« on: March 26, 2012, 12:08:40 PM »
This is for an expert and a long shot but maybe someone here knows this answer.

I am putting together a stand guide list for FTBs and yellow has got me boggled

Is the regular yellow stand than came with regular FTBs like Tutu tails the same as Huggy tails (fuzzy tummies yellow stand)  In some pictures the Huggy tails seems to be more brighter mustardy and the regular stand more mellow yellow...Please help if you know or have seen two different colors.

Never seen a variant like that but it would be sooo neat ..you would have to open her up to make sure she wasn't a rehair.  (If she still has the metal clamp on the hair then probably original)
