I do the same thing with bewildered looking adults in the toy section!!
Anyway, I found a Lizzie Hearts FINALLY!! But she's in the slim box and is SOooooooo different from her original sig release....no ring, shoes aren't painted, crown isn't burnished and the jewels aren't painted red  Her purse isn't burnished, either, which sux! Her makeup is slightly different as well with no silver dots on her lower lip. Glad I got an original sig Lizzie before this one....so incredibly disappointing. I should have kept the other one MIB is THIS is the direction they're going with the dolls

But on a super happy note, I also found one sig KITTY! And she has the most incredibly lovely soft, unsticky hair ever...she's just gorgeous and I absolutely adore how she looks next to my original Lizzie. If you have the chance to snag an old style Liz or a sig Kitty I highly recommend it!!

Congrats!! Sig Kitty is my next target. That is sad about Lizzie, but hey, Lizzies to customize!! I have 2 of the old sigs and one of them I painted the little cards on her shoes like in the webisodes. I think I'll do something fun with her crown and bag too.

Here she is with her adorable little face! I love that she has an original facial mold and a big grin on her face...she just screams mischief!

This ^^    Definitely  get the original ones for sure while you still can   .  I wouldn't mind some of the newer cheaper looking versions to customise or dress differently though

Thanks! She's cheaper than in Wal-Mart stores so I thought I'd go ahead and order her online She's arrived at WM so all I have to do is pick her up

Anyone who hasn't gotten Duchess needs to get her because Mattel has already released pictures of a budget doll for her. No jewelry and unpainted shoes. I went ahead and got mine before I was stuck with a budget one

I picked Dutchess up today I said I was done with EAH in favour or MH, but I just adore these new girls! I think I'll customize the budget Lizzie, though....she'll look so much more regal when I'm done with her!

OH! BTW, if anyone is looking to get some of the original sig releases either loose or MIB I have a few left and I'm willing to debox for shipping to pretty much anywhere...Briar, Maddie and Cerise with gold dots on her lip instead of silver

Oh my!  I wasn't aware they're doing budget releases...aw, man, I need to get my girls FAST!

They're budget, but they aren't cheaper...my new girls were the same price as the older re-releases!! I saw Dexter today and he had no scarf, no little boutonniere or chain from his waist, nothing!! Just his glasses I don't think he had his backpack, either, and he was the same price as the older release Raven with all her accessories.
Oh, and I got Kitty and Dutchess at Wal-Mart...they were the only ones they had! Luckily they had nice faces...wonk-eye drives me bonkers now!

That is HORRIBLE. What the heck??

Okay, so I just ordered sig Maddie, Raven and Cupid on Amazon. (Maddie was $12, Cupid was $10 and Raven was $15 and I got free shipping!!) Next week I'll try to snag Briar and Apple locally (always have TONS of them). I think I'll have all of the old sigs then. Maybe by then we'll actually have sig Kitty in stores here

I have a newb question.  What is the difference between the budget releases and the regular releases?  Does anyone have side by side pics?  I think I've got originals, but I'm not sure what the others look like.

BTW, Kitty and Duchess are out in stores in Ottawa.  I got Kitty from amazon US already, and the ones in Canada have a NETFLIX ad on the box.  I'm not sure if that's the only difference between them.

I think the budget releases are missing things like tights and jewelry and .. have slightly different make up and their shoes etc don't have the details painted on- they are just all one color... stuff like that   I haven't seen any around here yet so I cant do comparisons. I am interested in seeing side by side pics though
