From now on, I may try looking for ponies in local dumpsters, who knows what I'll find there, hehehe...

But seriously, those ponies look to be in a really fantastic shape. I'm completely baffled by the idea, that someone would throw them away, instead of, let's say, selling them. I understand if a toy is in a heavily played with condition, that could be beyond repair. But ponies like this... I can't really wrap my head around that...

But good think that your aunt and uncle have come to their rescue, and that they ended up in the good hands. Who knows what might've happened to them... they could've ended up looking like that poor, baity Butterscotch that was pulled out of a dumpster truck (the one whose photos of were posted at the MLP Trading Post in the "Scariest Bait of 2010" thread). *shivers*

Nice work! They look to be in very nice condition. Tell me, is that a birthflower or Lil Tot cos I can't see properly. Satin n Lace too, she looks fresh out the bag lol, I'd love to see some individual shots or pics of smaller groups if you get time

I know, it totally blows my mind when people throw out perfectly good stuff! I guess with ponies, it's just that we collectors know how easy it is to clean them up, and we see lots of potential in a manky pony; other people just see a gross, ruined old toy! I suppose they imagine that no one would ever want to buy their filthy old ponies!

Case in point, I took some before and after pics of the two dirtiest ones of the lot:

...these were the worst, but most of them are really grimy! The photo in the first post makes them look much better than they are!
