Just learned there's 10 dragons...

Nope. There's SEVEN others! Only sold in the UK. They came with the princess ponies - instead of the bushwoolies, I guess?

They're different colors. I can't find any online for sale, of course. I can't even find the brighter colored Dream Castle Spike or mail order version. Hmph.

I keep finding... and getting... the Lavender Spike. I have one for myself, one for sale, and another to list for sale after the first sells haha

Does anyone here own the other Spikes?

There are only 6 others! xD One for each Princess Pony from the first set. (Does that make it better?)

I grew up with dragons not bushwoolies. I had one as a child (Smokey, with Princess Sapphire), and picked all the others up second hand when I started going to second hand sales.

They're really not "Spikes" though. They all had their own personalities and names that are distinct from Spike. So did the Princesses. They were one of my favourite sets as a kid and featured a lot in our comic around 1987.

They are Fiery (red and yellow) - with Pearl/Tiffany
Flash (yellow/orange) with Amber/Starburst
Prickles (Green) with Aquamarine/Serena
Spiny (lavender) with Amethyst/Sparkle
Sparks (Pink/red) with Ruby/Primrose
and Smokey (blue) with Sapphire/Royal Blue.

Off the top of my head I remember Smokey was the youngest one, Fiery was super protective, Prickles was fairly down to earth...Spiny was clumsy...I'd have to look up Sparks and Flash as I tend to get their personalities a bit more muddled.

Did you check ebay.co.uk? There is usually one or two up for sale but they're not cheap.

Also, they were sold outside of the UK as well. Italy had them, so did the Netherlands as far as I can tell, and Scandinavia.

They haven't been so plentiful at boot sales since the mid 1990s though. You need a time machine as well

No word of a lie my sister used to get given dragons as freebies at carboot sales back then. But I haven't seen one there in ages.

Just popping in here to share the UK dragon love - these are such gems! I've added three to my collection, and they're such treasures! Hope you're able to find some soon, it's true they are pricey in the US but sooo worth it! <3

Why do the ponies all look sick in that photo? Haha their eyes look all puffy and squinted. Someone messed up in the art department!!

I haven't even been able to find one yet pricey or otherwise haha

I still recommend looking at the UK ebay as they do come up there.

You may have to be creative with the search engine but it's probably the most likely place to spot them.

I have all the princess dragon, + dream castle spike. For me the difficulties has been to find lavender castle spike and mo spike (or, rather, I'm not really looking for them and dont want to spend that kind of money on them right now :

But the princess dragon pops up every now and then here. I might have an extra yellow one, but I dont know where it is unfortunatly, as my collection is packed down. :/

But as Taffeta sugested, try ebay.co.uk, and you will probably find them soon
