To re-dye or rehair?

I was recently reunited with my TAF Up, Up and Away, who is in need of some serious TLC.  The one thing, though, was her hair seemed in pretty good condition but it was white.  I was driving myself crazy, because I swore she'd had pink hair!
I finally was able to confirm, yes, she had pink hair and it has completely faded.  I want to restore it but I'm curious if I'm better off to try re-dying it with Rit dye, or to just rehair her entirely.  I even found the right shade on dollyhair, when I wasn't even looking for it.  I'm a novice to this stuff and haven't done either, but am interested in learning how to rehair ponies.
I won't lie, I am leaning one way, but that just may be because I don't know everything I should
Can I just get opinions and pros & cons of each?

Definitely better to re-pink it with RIT dye. Works GREAT and is so much easier than rehairing! Repinking is super quick and easy to do (I know there's some tutorials on this around if you haven't found them already.) Not to mention, she gets to keep her original hair, which always looks best anyway.

Since the hair is still nice, I see no point in removing it I'm sure you'll do a great job repinking it!

I agree try re pinking! There are a couple of different methods - rit is the most popular but I like using watercolours as the colour is just a closer match in my opinion.

I actually got the tutorial on here from someone not that long ago. And the colour match is so much closer than with rit - its brilliant!
