My newest custom, Christmas Sweater!
This girl was dyed (years ago) and rehaired with nylon. All details are painted with acrylic. (the metallic finish to the paint didn't show up at all in the photos, boo)

Very pretty.  What kind of dye do you use?  The one time I tried to use dye it looked okay at first but faded in splotches.  Any tips?

Thank you everyone! I am all up in the Christmas spirit this year, and was so inspired to make her. Thrilled everyone likes her!

Pokeyonekenobie, I use Rit dye....but unfortunately dying is a fickle thing....some ponies take it well, others are spotty...some G4s and G1s don't take it at all. And a lot of the time it bleeds through the paint (hence the not using it for a few years after dying....that helps prevent that)
