Lol now that is hilarious I did a double take when I saw it they probably just wanted Princess Twilight and Spike from the set haha right?! Otherwise I can't think of why someone would buy it and give it away that fast, unless on accident!

Maybe it was an unwanted gift and they gave the whole thing to the thrift store - only to have someone else come along and snag the ponies and Spike?  Very odd, given that it's such a new play set. I am sure the other ponies in your herd will have a good time claiming it at their own :)
