My sister made risers for me out of pressboard. We bought a few huge sheets (30"x40") from a nearby art supply store for $1 a piece. My sister said it was easier to cut than foam board (which we had tried first). I like it because it is really sturdy. And it was also very inexpensive.

Yes, mount the shelves to the wall if you haven't already. The weight of the doors will bring it right down on top of you when you open it... I speak from a near disasterous experience!

Started making risers! I had a ton of cardboard boxes left from the bookshelves so I decided to use that.

You can see two of the shelves with risers, what a difference they mske! I am only doing two rows of ponies per shelf, looks less crowded to me and I don't think I have enough ponies to justify more rows. ;p
