Not a biggie, but happy anyway!
« on: April 20, 2013, 12:41:09 PM »
Value Village round these parts has been pretty poopy lately.  Today, though I found a nice Garfield book for my son (His Nine Lives), as well as a G3 Soda Float and my first Ponyville find (Starsong, yay!), I also found...

... this pretty little fakie, my first Crumpet-style!  And she's in not too shabby shape, either, despite the flyaway hair.  Hey, it was rather windy here, so I had major flyaways too... shouldn't complain... anyway, yay!  It's my best find at VV in months. ^.^

Oh! Hopes and cheers that I, too, may find a Crumpet fakie in the permafrost! Yay!! Tell me...is her tail like an MLP or is it rooted? I've always wondered :)

Thanks for the congrats, everypony!  It's actually finally warm enough that I'm considering pony spa today... if I pretty her up somewhat, I'll post pics. ^.^

I know what you mean - for some reason, I never expected to find one up here either!  Who knows - maybe there's even a Princess Rinse'n'Spit waiting at some VV in the future for one of us.  Good hunting to you! ^.^  (And if I find another, I'll for sure let you know. ^.^)

As for her tail, it's thankfully not rooted, just like a true pony's tail - and further, I got curious and her head was loose anyway, so I took the opportunity to pop her open and have a look.  Here ya go -

It's a bit hard to see (and that's the best photo I could manage), but while there's a washer (I think it's metal), the thing holding the centre of the tail in place appears to be like a tubular plastic bead - pretty clever, actually!

I like the idea of a plastic washer!  No rust :)
